  1. Trick to lay down parking sign?

I will have to give Printpros method a try, I just need these guys to knock these signs out as quickly as possible today and that seems to be a good way. I am going to have them work in an assembly line one cutting, one laying down.
  2. Need advice on forming letters

I am trying to gt someone in here to show how to do these things, not much luck. It is going to be a lot of trial and error. Right now if I could afford it one of those auto benders you see at the sign show is looking pretty good.
  3. Need advice on forming letters

I was "thrown" into making the channel letters for our shop, I have the backs routed and using .040 (I believe) for he returns. Now I have no problems making the right angle letters "E", "T", "I" etc. Now the problem is rounding the curved letters like "R" "S", what is the trick to doing these...
  4. Trick to lay down parking sign?

When we do a 12x18 parking sign we print the sign with very small marks around the perimeter and line them up to the edge of the blank. It works but you still have to measure the edges to properly get the spacing right. We have an order for 75 of them now, is there a quicker way to lay them...
  5. What thickness of aluminium to use?

I have considered using ACM but if you do that then how do you affix the returns to the back? With aluminium we can weld them. Also what thickness do you use for the ACM, im not sure of the standard thicknesses but here in Canada we have 3mm and 6 mm
  6. What thickness of aluminium to use?

Just curious what is a good thickness or aluminium to use for the back of channel letters and what is good for the return?
  7. Building a sign box with VHB tape

We have heard about from other sign shops they dont weld anymore and use Tesa tape to build sign boxes. We have considered this instead of welding them but want to see if anyone has done this first hand and their experience.

  10. Need help with gradient for wrap

That dot gradient works well from a distance but I know he would never go for that (he is getting way to picky). I have had trouble with red to black gradients but I throw another colour in the middle for the transition and it seems to help but this orange to yellow is becoming near impossible...

  14. Wrapping a Helmet... with a drum

Tried a few helmet wraps like this and each time just a different technique and never had success like the video. I was using the 1005ez film with lamination and I think thats just too much stretch for that film.
  15. Long jobs and no take-up

I have a take up roller in the shop but rarely use it because if I am printing panels and there is uneven tension on the take up then I have a hard time lining up the prints so what I do is simply take a 4x8 sheet of coroplast and prop it up against the printer and as the print comes off it just...

  17. Why do my panels never line up?

Some days they line up on the table and some days they don't, that has to be uneven tension from the take-up roll. On the panels not lining up I think its a matter of us stretching it as we apply. We are usually in a rush so we don't give the film a chance to off gas so that needs to change as...

  19. Why do my panels never line up?

the lining up of the vinyl makes perfect sense, I know that's how I do it but I don't think anyone else does and I never gave it much thought. But I know the last trailer we did, which I didn't print personally we did have alignment issues so I am going to let everyone know that and to make...
