  1. cg160 fx wont cut laminate

I second isign. I used one of these for a couple months at a friend's shop and made that mistake when I was learning the equipment. The blade holder will fit above the area it is intended to and at first glance look correct.
  2. Favorite Quote from a Customer Today

    wow...never heard that one before
  3. Favorite Quote from a Customer Today

Had a customer ask me to do him a "solid" and give him the crappy design for basically nothing. This is the same PITA customer that wants everything for nothing and has the most condescending way of asking for it. Needless to say he will soon be fired.
  4. OK All you Wrappers.....

A hearse, I did some body work on one a couple weeks ago for a customer and EVERYONE stopped me to ask about it. I told my wife we should get one and wrap it.
  5. Location????

I think priority number one is a functional space for what you are looking to do, bay doors for wraps/large signs, showroom if you depend on walk-ins, etc. I think a close second for a retail store is a visible open store front, easily accessible entry/parking area.
  6. How did you get into the signs business?

I bought a cutter to cut my own stencil mask for my custom shop and figured out I had a knack for it and it was profitable, the rest is history
  7. Laptop

I have been an HP fan for many years, but recently I have changed my mind, my latest one, the dv6504 has left much to be desired. Poor battery life and although trivial, HP actually shipped this machine without a functioning driver for the webcam and to date still do not have one. They just...
  8. 3M 180cV3

380v3 is a 1 mil product and 18v3 is 2 mil. The print/lam combo for 380 is 2.5 mil while 180v3 is 4 mil. The materials are the same, 380 is just thinner and therefore has less material to stretch and less memory to fight.
  9. 3M 180cV3

Very shortly 3M will no longer sell V2 so you will not have a choice, the adhesive system is better on V3, the channels are shaped like V1, so you can squeegee in any direction, and still no print through to the other side. Good stuff just stay away from 8519 Lam it looks terrible and is not as...
  10. New head for sc-540

  11. FlexiPro 7.6v2- round corner tool?

You can create a square box and then select to have rounded corners then select the radius, or you can create your shape and the go to Arrange:Convert to Outlines and then use the round corner node editing tool and select the diameter, this way is tedious in my opinion but works just the same...

  13. Removing oxidation from vehicle after graphics removed?

We have used the Ghost off product with much success, it removes oxidation and also eliminates the graphic "Ghost" but only if it is caused by oxidation, the best bet is still to buff it.
  14. Need Help!!! SC-540 not my friend

wow, thank you guys...I did do several manual cleanings to no avail. I was thinking it was out of whack but I didn't have issues with the other colors so I was confused. It's not that noticeable but can anyone help with the light cyan?? There are two light spots in the test print. Thank you...

  20. Need Help!!! SC-540 not my friend

I have recently started a sort of partnership with a guy who has a Roland SC-540. This machine is virtually brand new with very few hours on it. It was not used everyday and also somewhat neglected in the cleaning. A Roland tech/friend of his came out when I first started working with him to...
