I also have the EJ640. Honestly. It kicks A**. Roland definitely got their act together on the new take up and feed reel system. I can run a whole 150ft roll of material and it doesn't track off on the take up at ALL. So far, I love it. I don't know why you would want to move away from your...
@wvsignguy yup same with mine. If I run 27-30 media it's fine. Go out past that and forget about it.. I also believe the rollers are bowed.. I have cared for this identical to the directions and couldn't do anything else if I wanted to maintenance wise.. I was told a new top roller is around...
If you are in the market for a laminator I would advise against a Ustech or Master laminator. Mine was great for the first year. I have NEVER left the rolls down overnight and have cleaned them weekly, Honest truth. This thing is really starting to cost me money now and its ticking me off. I...
Wraps arent my main business.. People are too cheap around here, but they are rolling in more frequently.. So he said the EJ is too fast for wraps? Doesnt the speed depend soley on the profile selected? Mimaki printers I believe also have a mirrored head setup.. Hmmmmm.. Now I am even more...
Bringing this back up,
I can get the Ej 640 for 13,000 after my trade in on my XC540.. I was told that the Rf640 is no faster than my xc540... Is there anyone on here that has an EJ640?
Thanks!
I'm interested in a pricing sheet also. As well as a sample. Also do you offer anything in a high tack adhesive that is thicker like the 5mil? I do a ton of labels for a company and the thicker the better as they don't want laminate (keep costs down) and i currently use a 3.5 mil from substance...
I know this is a super old thread but did anyone ever figure out what AMI was using for laminate for these dasher ads. The gloss on them is like nothing I have seen before!..... I am stumped. And some of the customers that were using AMI want that gloss back..
I dont need to make much money if at all on these. These go along with a kit. The kit I produce in house and make good margins on those.. If I had a 72" printer all would be great! lol Thanks for the help thus far!
I know, I know.. Cheap is a horrible word.. I am trying to compete with whomever is printing these hockey goal creases and I honestly have no idea how they sell them (and at retail I might add, to anyone that calls!) for what they do.. For this particular crease it is 12' wide x 6' tall.. And...
Hi Gene, does the media handling seem better on your RF then previous machine? That is my one major issue with my printer, other than that its been a great great machine.
From what I read about latex there is more cons to pros.. From what I see anyways.. The big advantage is immediate finishing.. But I factor that into my jobs anyways.. I dont like the print head situation with latex. Sounds to me that the life is not all that long.. But I have never owned one...
I was saying that the Roland dealer offered me an "INSANE" amount on trade in. I am literally only losing $800 since i bought it 4 years ago. Is latex good for everything?
