  1. Question white UV ink pricing

This should be common sense. if the print takes longer = you should be charging more. otherwise your shop is now making less per hour.
  2. Cool video showing dbrands phone skin production

at that many machines, that's quite normal, and good. an inhouse guy to change blades, change belts, and make sure the machines are running 100% would mean the operators are just cutting and not worried about the tooling.
  3. Cool video showing dbrands phone skin production

Possibly, but i reckon they have a lot more SKUs with a similar process. maybe without the 2nd print process. Judging from their site, there'd not many colourways. But there's a lot of devices to skin. But because the items are all small, it's not hard to keep 5-10x of each sku which is a lot...
  4. Cool video showing dbrands phone skin production

Great video. I watched it when it was first released. It's very aesthetically pleasing layout and colour scheme. Choice of equipment is good. Although with that many summas, I'd be looking at more auto automated workflows. Each to their own though. They definitely had help picking their...

This is not as easy as it sounds. Let's gather a little more info. How many orders are you doing per day or per week on average. What is your product/s ? What is the current workflow (be specific, like you're explaining to someone who's never done your kind of work) Do you have a...
  7. Just In Shop Move Starting...

Wow, this is a big task. I can appreciate the planning involved with workflow tasks. We use a similar system, but it's more linear but we're much smaller so it's easier to manage workflows. You have inspired me to do a video on our shop and workflow over the break.

  15. Just In How We Make Over 3 million Decals and Stickers a Year at FireSprint

Out of all the properties, uv has a smaller gamut. Other than that, It has no dry time. No outgassing. Colorado white is better than latex. Other uv white is okay, latex still has a nicer white. But... UV like the Colorado or other higher end machines. Cheaper to run, cheaper inks, faster...

  17. Just In How We Make Over 3 million Decals and Stickers a Year at FireSprint

It takes far to long to do it on the flatbed. Heres an example: We do a lot of A3, A2 sized sheet stickers. for a full 30m roll of various sizes, it would take about 8 hours on the flatbed cutter. With using summa, we can get 1x 30m roll down to 2 hours of kiss cutting and about 1 hour on...
  18. Just In How We Make Over 3 million Decals and Stickers a Year at FireSprint

Great video! Im curious on how you do kisscut stickers and sheet stickers as i find when you start introducing more steps you can make the workflow quite complex. E.g, Kisscut stickers - We'll kisscut on the summa and thru-cut on the flatbed cutter. Sheet stickers - kiss cut on the summa and...
