its suppose to lock up, but it drops after some shaking. Never used it.
Easier to reach over and hold it. Or just line up the corner marks with the roller shafts and lock into place.
Thru-cut is the proper term for die cut. The stickers cut on a vinyl cutter are not die cut, even thought that's what we call them. As they're not using a die to cut them.
It's not about if you use all the features or not. Its more if the software does what you need it.
If it does, leave it and grow into the other features.
If you need it do to tasks the current cannot do, then find another.
$500/m is not bad at all for what you get.
If you want to change...
Images without text become quite challenging to distinguish now.
Im all for it.
Technology is always moving. Ride with it or get left behind.
That said, i needed some fake business names for samples. a few mins on chat gpt and a few mins on adobe and i ended up with good enough samples.
Do not buy a chinese / cheap flatbed cutter. if you're going to get something. You want local support.
A summa F1612 is a good place to start. And you can use the twin workflow with your S2 opos.
Or even colex as they're priced well. It is a beast and would be overkill for only stickers.
From what i've learnt in the last few years. CPP ANZ vs Canon america (what ever Oce is now called over there) are completely different in their customer service. Country size etc does have a part to play, but we're an hour away from their head office in melbourne but we still get same day...
To do it properly. Canon will come and remove the filter+ the fan and install the aluminium shroud.
The required CFM is in the manual, it's quite low. i used a basic inline fan from the hardware store which was more than enough CFM for the application. same OD as the shroud.
the ducting we...
Fantastic machines.
Our 1650 is on year 5. Mine doesn't have much down time, but i'm also told mine is very well looked after compared to everyone elses.
Only thing is it wont compare to an Epson in quality especially small stickers.
We have ours vented with extraction fans. not common...
Reason I ask. Canon have a 20,000 Lineal meter warranty of the original heads.
I dont think id buy something from your supplier.
We bought ours though Canon, they straight away told us about the service contract. I bought 5 years. its almost up, so we'll either renew it or upgrade.
Instead of selling, have you thought of employing someone to run it?
If not, scale down to the jobs you want to do?
Or scale down and move some of it home.
Focus just on stickers. Or banners or apparel etc. It definitely makes it easier also.
You may miss it when it's gone.
