L26500 issues
Did you get it to work out on the banner material? I got a good profile from the hp site that works, but the manual suggests increasing the passes and vacuum and decreasing the curing and drying temps in increments of 5 until the printing issues go away and that worked for us...
1) Will either of them print will on to 10mil clear polycarb?
we have an L26500 that prints to High Intensity reflective. Pretty thick, but not ten mil.
2) Ease of use? As this will be our first foray into digital printing(besides printing film positives for screen printing).
The HP is...
tangibles
people are willing to pay out the wazoo for virtual services like web design, social networking management etc. but when it comes to real life products and services that involve actual materials and hard labor they don't want to pay up. reminds me of this...
Wet Spots
We have had a nightmare trying to print to cheaper avery high intensity after being all set up for 3m HIP printing. the prints came out oily or the heat made the material buckled and caused head strikes. changing this setting will probably help. Thanks y'all!
profiles
after a day of research and experimenting i finally found a place to get profiles for my hp latex printer!
http://graphixdirect.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=11&Itemid=11
granted these are profiles for the L25500 and i run the 6500, but they work.
I had a hell...

I laminated a banner for my kid and put it on the floor so it would be vomit and juice proof. grommets were a bad idea though. We got a dehumidifier from wal mart and set it right under our hp and print quality increased instantly. plus we keep teh temp 72-74 in here at all times. your...
matte
I just did a test print on BriteLine matte and it looks good. I experimented though and used photo paper presets since I can't find any BriteLine ICCs. The experiment failed, the blacks came out oily. Will try again with intermediate vinyl settings. Do you use 'film' or 'self adhesive'...
profiles
I'm having a hell of a time finding profiles for this machine also. 3m icc site doesn't have SAi iccs, SAi site only has iccs for rolands, and hp site has a couple profiles but not the ones I need. All other material roll manufacturer's sites want you to create a user name etc to find...
Costanza
We experienced shrinkage on the L26500 here as well, on 24" stop sign prints on diamond grade reflective. The manual says this happens. Insane. I've never heard of a product with a defect where the defect is called out in the manual as 'tough noogies, these are the breaks'. If I wanted...
Hp l26500
I suppose you could break down the costs for yourself based on cartridge prices and compare those figures to the web server figures, but I doubt anyone has verified the costs that way yet given the convenience of the server data. Plus if you want to be super anal you would have to...
Our brand new HPL26500 is being used to print to reflective sheeting. It prints everything at 99% ish size so we have to increase every print to 101%. Is there a way to get this machine to print to size properly?
Our techno cnc router does the opposite. It adds about an eighth inch to routed...
Samesies!
I have the same equipment, a vp540 and a RS 54" cold laminator. do you have any tips on loading the laminator? every time I try different techniques I still get wrinkles every once in a while. I've tried a sled, removing all the guards, etc. It feels like just experience will help me...
