In Corel if you have the image converted to curves, grab your node edit tool, clik and drag the tool over the nodes on the end of the graphic. The nodes should change to a solid color, use your arrow key and move them out until you reach the desired length.
....so if I want to go back and retweek something am I screwed? I realize I can save a copy with the layers but if I go back several times I will have to keep saving my new merged file. Is there a way to save maybe the history or something? Sorry guys but PS is still a program that I don't know...
you're all on it. at 180" long the file size won't be too massive, big but not unwielding.
as to "mathmetically size the word", i'm not following you. if you want to see the actual size you can use the "transform" [Crtl+T] and with your "info" pallette open to see the actual width/height...
Hey Flame
Yeah, I have Corelx3 but not sure what will happen if I have a 15' span on my letters then try to add the bevel effect. My puter would probebly freek on me, not to mention a soft drop shade and 2 outlines.
I don't use photoshop much but I need to put a printalbe beval edge and soft drop shadow on some text that will be 15' long and I know ps will handle this. I am unclear about 2 things; On the "new" screen in ps do I set the resolution to like 300 with a transparent backgrd? Does that mean that...

Absolutly!Airbrush, pencil, pen, watercolor, oil, you name it, it all depends on how you plan to output your final composit. You can also work in a vector format, I do in Corel 13 all the time.
Just wondered if anyone else uses a digital tablet, I have a 6"x8" Wacom used mainly for free hand drawing with photoshop and Corel Painter but have used it with Corel for freehanding script fonts. I really have a lot of fun with this thing.
Hey Josh
I don't really know what VE LXi is but most vector based programs have to have their text converted to outline form, vector, or curves. If the flames are a bitmap they will have to be traced into a curve or outline as well before they can be welded together with the text.
On all our trucks and signs we use an 1/8" drill from the back side, gives the bubble lots of room for the air to escape, of course you have those nasty holes on the back to deal with but hey after awhile those holes will close up on thier own.
Hey Guys
Saw a post here about "Inkscape" for free! Soooo I tried it and it's not a bad program.... for free. Kind of a cross between Corel and Ai. Have no idea wether CoCut would work with this or not but the program was a snap to use.
Corel x3, Omega, Adobe cs2, Photoshop, Photopaint, but the best software I have is the oldest, v0.1 my brain, still works good in conjunction with my old plotter (pencil and paper).
Hey James
I would have to agree with most here. I have used Corel since version 2 and now am on 13 and live there, but we recently have gotten a copy of AI in hopes of doing some nicer graphics for RIP. So far I have found that AI is pretty intense to learn and although it does have some really...
Hey Steve
I'm using x3 and just tested your question and had no problem switching back to the previous tool. I don't use that function so I'm guessing that it's a default setting on mine. Are you sure you haven't changed the setting?
