  2. More SaaS Goodness..

Nope. The OS is not cloud base. Some of the apps are. But some can run offline also.
  3. Need to update to Windows 10 - can I still run Signlab 8?

If it was designed on XP, it should work. As mentioned, i've ran old games from XP on windows 11 with no issues. But, id probably look at upgrading cadlink. See if the new one has the profiling module. Get a demo of it. It's probably called something else. The software is over 20 years old...
  4. More SaaS Goodness..

Linux is great. As long as your software works on it. Here's the thing. Because not all software runs on linux (it can in a VM) it can be pointless to use. E.g my laptop, i have Adobe software & MS Office that i use. Yes, Theres open office, one day i'll try it, but we all use outlook.. and...
  5. Need to update to Windows 10 - can I still run Signlab 8?

what OS was it originally designed for? Most software ~Should~ on win10, as there is compatibility mode. I've played games from XP on win 10. Anything older than XP you'll probably run into issues. Win10 & 11 are eventually the same. You should be updating to windows 11, not 10 as it wont be...

  8. Need Help UV Flatbed Recommendations

ink kit? what accessories? I know you need a high volume compressor to run the airbearings.
  9. Need Help UV Flatbed Recommendations

It's a little ironic. The low end machines tent to have more issues than the production equivalent 2x flatbed will cost you more in the long run. 1x high volume flatbed, lower electricity, lower ink pricing, less consumables etc. Start the conversion with Digitech. Those guys are super cool.
  10. Need Help UV Flatbed Recommendations

Lets be real here. When you're doing volume, You want 1 printer, not 2. 2 printers mean 2x maintenance, 2x consumables, 2x the space etc. that seems stupid. Especially buying 2x low end machines. Buying a volume machine, yes the price is high. the machine itself are higher quality, more...

  14. Pre press artificial intelligence

I only have trufit (i sometimes call it griffin) from my understanding, their virtually the same except griffin has extra options such as adding job data on the files and it seems it can add barcodes for flatbed cutters. but no one ever got back to me for it.
  15. Pre press artificial intelligence

even then, i think there will still need a human approval as ai will not aways get it right
  16. Pre press artificial intelligence

surely you could run some smoothing to the path. none the less it is pretty impressive. I tried this in Griffin, and it only did the centre image, done a really good job of it, but it didn't go around all of it like the first example.
  17. Do you make/improve designs for customers or only take 100% ready to print files ?

It depends on your business. We're a print only shop. We dont touch peoples files. only time is if we need to check and fix spot channels for cut paths and white ink. But we're building some automations around it to solve those issues.
  18. Choosing a RIP

media profiles though onyx. they have video tutorials on how to use it on onyx youtube channel. they have onyx, doesn't need i1 publisher.
  19. Choosing a RIP

They've already got the latest onyx - its a great rip. why would you spend more on a brand new RIP when you can add a few licences to their current licence?
  20. Choosing a RIP

Well there's nothing wrong with Onyx Thrive X22. So i'd purchase another printer licence for it and move all the printers from other RIPs to that. As for the cutters. You can use the Graphtec and it can be ran by onyx. The F1612 and the kongsberg still need their own software to run so...
