  1. Onyx PosterShop - Color issues between two nearly identical printers (HP FB550 & FB700)

this has to be the worst advice. create media profiles both both machines on your RIP Software. this 90% of the time solves all colour consistency issues between 2 printers. the other 10% is being HP and their consumable heads.
  2. Late fee?

I would have a term in the contract stating all signage installed etc etc etc will remain the property of (your sign shop) until full payment has been made and cleared. We have the right to enter and remove all signage if payment hasn't been made with in X amount of days from install date...
  3. Insoft Automation Imp+

For software like this. You're better of getting a full demo and a quote from them. To me it looks like a module based system, you pay for the features you need. It wouldn't surprise me if it's something from $3000 - $10,000 per year.
  4. Canon Colorado M Series.

what did you get the M3 or M5? that is low volume for the colorado though, you can do the 3 boxes in 4 hours... The M3 is probably the one you want, but the colorado inks go into a tank, you dont want them expiring on you. you'll need a tech to drain the tanks.

how close are you analysing your prints? Stochastic works fine for most printers. Unless some have a built in hardware where it does it itself and i think you leave it in contone in onyx (i forget) and im pretty sure this is what epson does when using the epson profile workflow. this is how we...

We're going though a ground up build at the moment. We dont do vinyl wrapping so we dont have the issues you do. Here's some pointers: - Smooth floors. if you have the funds to do so, get the concrete ground back, then use epoxy. Easier to keep clean. As for vinyl sticking to the floor...

  12. SAi license scam

I use VPN and RDP. It's easier (for me) When i use the VPN I can RDP in to my RIP PC or any VM on my server. And i can just SSH (PuTTY) into other VMs. It's like im at work, at home. Also if you have a network licence, like onyx thrive, you can still use it.

  15. can fc9000 cut eflute?

I wouldn't hold my breath. If you want to cut e-flute, buy the right equipment. I probably wouldn't even waste my money on the FCX. I would save up and buy a colex 1717.
  16. can fc9000 cut eflute?

No, The FCX holds material down by vacuum. the FC9000 uses the pinch rollers. Wont be able to crease it properly though. IF you notice the FCX does multiple creasing passes. the FC9000 wont know to do that.

Yes, here i'd be back up and running with in a few hours. If they don't have the part, either they'll pull it from the showroom machine, or unluckly it'll be here the next day. Here also, if you're rural, etc, it can be a little more challenging.
  20. Canon Colorado M Series.

just curious. hypothetically speaking, we bought out 1650 off you with a service contract. it's 10am, we have a major issue, we log a service call with you. I've described the issue, it requires you/your techs to come out and replace a part. when would i expect to get my 1650 fixed? If the...
