Thank you for responding to this. I looked over your return policy and assumed we couldn't get a refund: http://www.solventinkjet.com/shipping-returns-and-privacy-statement/ I've swapped pumps on these machines countless times and this is the first time I ran into these issues. The hole where...
  2. Solventinkjet.com

Hey guys, I ordered a couple of pumps for my JV33 machines from this site and tried installing one yesterday. Couple problems with it: - The mounting hole where the screw goes into does not line up properly. - I question the internals... when i tried to jimmy rig it to make it fit, the...
  3. Excessive dripping from Cyan

Forgot to add, whoever has issues installing new dampers, read this thread. It helped me to a certain degree: http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?55019-JV33-damper-installation-(-compression-damper-)-help!
  4. Excessive dripping from Cyan

Final update: I gently flushed the 2nd nozzle with cleaning solution, reinstalled the cyan damper and was successful. :rock-n-roll: HOWEVER, after putting back the magenta in the 1st lane, it refused to fire up on the next few test draws, wtf! I did a couple ink fills, no success :banghead...
  5. Excessive dripping from Cyan

Update: I swapped places with the 1st magenta ink line / damper with the cyan ink line / damper. Did the test draw and the cyan prints fine in the 1st lane, but now the magenta won't print in the 2nd lane. Obviously there's an issue with the 2nd lane. Any suggestions what to do next...
  6. Excessive dripping from Cyan

Just replaced the cyan damper and now it's not firing at all! I visually checked to see if there was air in the ink line, none. Primed the damper with ink before attaching to the ink line and head nozzle. Must have done a dozen ink fills with zero success. I checked the head nozzle / nipple...
  7. Excessive dripping from Cyan

I will try to replace that damper when the printer is offline. I'm hoping it is just that. Will update once I do so, thanks for all the suggestions!
  8. MAPS Anti-banding technology - Not just for brand new Mimaki Printers!

I'm running (2) JV33 printers and both have older versions. Running Windows XP on both stations. Question, will the newest firmware still be compatible with XP?
  9. Excessive dripping from Cyan

I was thinking it could be a damper issue so hopefully it's that. I'll replace that soon. NO 3rd party inks, all OEM ink carts.
  10. Excessive dripping from Cyan

I've had head-strikes in the past (mid to late last year) but none as of recently.
  11. Excessive dripping from Cyan

Hey guys, The printer seems to be printing fine most of the time (for now anyways). But when I do our weekly nozzle wash, I notice excessive droplets of cyan on the head plate (see pic): There were a few times I did a test draw and it looked like the cyan was crossing into the magenta lane...
  12. Some newbie questions about the JV33-160

How much are you saving as opposed to buying a new one? - Check the condition of the printhead, dampers, ink lines, capping station and pump to name a few. - Make sure your dealer performs a "test draw" in front of you so you can see the current condition of the head. - We use the SS21 inks...
  13. APC - back UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply)

Have you actually seen your UPS maintain power to your Mimaki (on and active obviously) during a brown out? I have (2) JV33s so I don't want break the bank. We really just need something strong enough to keep power up for 5 - 10 minutes so we can properly shut them down. I'm in Hawaii so we...
  14. Solventparts.com (anyone order from them)

Good to know - thanks guys!
  15. Solventparts.com (anyone order from them)

Aloha, Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience purchasing from them?
  16. APC - back UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply)

Can you tell me which exact model you're using? I just bought a CyberPower LX1500g (thinking it was enough) but the device instantly said "overload" when I plugged the Mimaki into it. Wasn't a complete wash as I'm using it for the desktop and monitor.
  17. APC - back UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply)

Have any of you bought one of these for your printer? If so, what model was it?
  18. Y-Axis Motor (JV33)

Aloha, anyone know where I can purchase this motor from a reputable online company?
  19. Mimaki JV33-160 error (MTR.ALM Y:CNT.OVER)

Haha - no problem, thanks for clarifying. I believe I found it... applied some lubricant to the gears / bearings on that motor and the Y-pulley. Seems to be working fine at the moment (fingers crossed).
  20. Mimaki JV33-160 error (MTR.ALM Y:CNT.OVER)

Hmmm, so if I'm facing the front, is that motor on the right side (by the key pad) another motor?
