  1. Hp Fb700 - Ink Banding

So after what feels like 47 other problems sorted out between 3 presses (I swear they talk to each other and conspire to go down when you are busy) we've tracked it down to the magenta valve in the airsystem manifold. I was really hoping it was just the goobered up thermistor that I was able to...
  2. Hp Fb700 - Ink Banding

We are running OEM inks. I'm a little leary of 3rd party inks after a bad experience on another press - crap adhesion and color shifts, etc. From chatting on here and with a tech for a different machine - I'm leaning toward air getting in the ink system... the challenge will be finding where...
  3. Digital Printed Decals Curling Off

We use 3m controltac for high heat applications. Expensive yeah, but it'll stick's really good. An asphalt plant customer uses it on their equipment worked fantastic. It was also rather forgiving on installing.
  4. Hp Fb700 - Ink Banding

Thanks :) I run the HP FB700 mentioned here, Acuity LED 1600 and an IJP 200. Before that I ran Gandi Jeti machines and a Durst Rho and flexo presses... It's been a fun and interesting ride to say the least.
  5. Hp Fb700 - Ink Banding

Thanks for the information. The yellow reservoir was acting squirrely in the logs so I've changed out the O-Ring and Thermistor. Going to keep an eye on it and see what happens. We've had this press for almost 18 months, and the previous owners I'm not sure how long they had it, but it wasn't...
  6. Hp Fb700 - Ink Banding

No worries! It's kind of an odd issue... but never hurts to see if anyone else has had the problem. I appreciate just being able to talk to someone who's ran this machine, or other inkjet equipment, everyone here is offset litho or docutech/xerox experience and no clue what I do. If we have to...
  7. Hp Fb700 - Ink Banding

This one doesn't have an cleaning station vacuum. It was bought used and didn't come with one - and cost like $$$$ to replace as it's wired for 240...we've been doing extra manual wipes to compensate and for the last 16 months since it's been running we've never had this problem. Low-vac wise...
  8. Hp Fb700 - Ink Banding

No build up on the heads - when this first happened I did a manual head wipe figuring that the other operator may have had a head strike or picked up a lot of dust/crud. The last one was done on Monday. The heads were aligned last week when I replaced a bad head. I had this problem before I...
  9. Hp Fb700 - Ink Banding

Lets see if I can get this to upload. The print on the left is first one out yesterday morning - nearly perfect nozzle check yet it prints like that. the one on the right, is just flipping the sheet around to the other side. It has been doing this every day the last week or so. And I did try...
  10. Hp Fb700 - Ink Banding

I've had a recent issue with our HP FB700 with banding. And it's only on the first print it does, or sometimes right after a cleaning in the middle of a full day. It's as if the 3/4 of the nozzles are clogged, but the jet health pattern and everything is fine. If I'm printing 2-sided 4x8...
  11. Mesh Printing Kit

Mesh adapters are a pain, dealt with them on a Jeti3324... lined mesh is best thing ever. Stick with that and you can load it just like any other vinyl.
  12. Printing To A Whiteboard Uv

I did several times on a Jeti 3150. Worked excellent. The hardest part was getting it to lay flat if there was any warp in the stock. Masking off vacuum table and little routing tape under the edges and it was good to go.
  13. Anyone printing clear decals? What Printer is best for you?

I realize I'm a little late to the party but came across this thread while looking into an issue on the FB700 I print clear cling decals monthly using Fuji's Acuity LED 1600, (roughly 550 square feet worth each time). The only problem I've had with it, is when switching white ink cartridges I...
  14. FB700 touch screen display

We had to order a new screen... in the mean time used an external monitor and then using the touch screen for input. It's interesting to say the least but at least we weren't completely dead in the water. I did try to be sneaky and hook up another touchscreen monitor that we had around, but...
  15. White ink Acuity 1600LED

I'm kind of torn on it. At my previous job I ran a Jeti3150 flatbed, Jeti3324 RTR and a Durst 160 so it is kind of small in comparison! I apologize if this is a little discombobulated... The LED lights are a plus, not having to wait for the lamps to warm up or cool down. The white and clear...
  16. White ink Acuity 1600LED

Has anyone else had any problems with their white ink on Fuji's Acuity 1600LED? Every time we put new white ink in, I have to do at least 1 subtank maintenance, frequently 2-3, before I can print again. Even if we change it before it errors and says to check the inkpac we still have to do this...
  17. FB700 touch screen display

Has anyone else had a problem with the touchscreen displaying wrong? When I turned on the 700 yesterday after being shut down over the weekend, the display comes up and is about an inch off to the right. I've checked and made sure all my cables were connected and tight, swapped out the VGA cable...
  18. Zünd L-3000CV errors.

In case anyone else stumbles by with the same problem: After an entire afternoon of sitting down with a master electrician, we were eventually able to trace the problem to a faulty fuse: F1 on the System Function Board.
  19. Zünd L-3000CV errors.

Does anyone have a reference for Zünd error codes that are not in the manual or a wiring schematic? We bought a used L-3000 last year and while we had training form a Zünd tech, it's been a while and not all of the error codes are in the operators manual either. We keep getting and AC Faults...
  20. FB700 Head Dripping and not printing issue

Turned out to be a bad O-Ring in the heads themselves. I had to take everything all the way apart and found one of the very small O-Rings in the head had a crease in it. Replaced it and put everything back and no more leak!.
