oh ?
I have tried 300dpi, 200, 150 and 72dpi, actually all seems to look the same to me.
this is driving me crazy.
so "billboard" size 100dpi you think is like the optimum ?
thanks for your reply and suggestion.
given the pathetic small file size, would you think I will get better quality using 300dpi versus 100 or 200 dpi ?
Hi Guys,
The source image is 831kb (1109x1538 and 72dpi).
The target is a wall in the living room 2.2m x 1.8m.
Although I am familiar and used Perfect Resize often,
I have never blown up image that much since most of our work comes in 300dpi and near print size or are vector based.
Any...
Thank for replies and suggestions guys.
I can lug along a flat bed printer but surely not this one !!
Just wondering.
Can I not take out the ink carts, then put in the cleaning carts.
Execute a "longstore" (I see this on the manual so I think it is what I think it is), and should...
Well actually I will be going on holiday ;-)
This is the first holiday (maybe for 2 weeks) since I have owned the 1204.
So I would like to "flush / store" it (don't know if this is the correct term though.
ok, I still have the original 4 cleaning carts (they were used during the initial...
sorry man had to dig up my old post ask more questions.
For users of 1204, do you really buy and replace the pads inside the waste tray ?
Or . . really buy the waste tray-kit ?
Haven't changed mine for couple of weeks.
What I did was to just pour out some waste ink from the tray and that's...
Used 3651 profile on 651 white.
But on silver the result seems a little "light/fade" but still look quite good.
So I wonder if use 3651 profile for all 651 colors.
U think it's possible to connect a tube directly from under the cap station to the waste bottle and bypass the tray altogether ?
I suppose the tube and new bottle got to be solvent resistant and well sealed ?
Thank u for your replies.
On the part of printing on clears.
Since I stock oracal 210 for lam.
Should I use this for printing instead of stocking another roll of 651 or 3651 clear ?
What do u think ?
Ok. Printed beautifully.
Let it dry and tried wiping the print with the rough side of dishwashing sponge. The ink came out.
But wiping gently with a soft cloth is ok.
Temp tried was 40/40/40 degrees.
So I guess the ink does not stick well to the Coated media.
Thank u for your reply.
Yes these are coated media for dye and pigment inks (used them with 5500 Hp).
Ok if this "terrible thing" that can happen sounds not too terrible after all, I try test print tomorrow.
Thanks man.
I wonder if I should.
Worried something terrible will happen (new to solvent printing).
Ok if no answer today from the gurus I will go ahead and try this tomorrow before posting back my findings.
Rolex.
