alrighy I will give it a go for the sake of version 1.20 people out there. haha But the card is attached to the cartridge and slotted inside the machine. How to pull it out? ? Do you attach a tape extend to outside the slot to pull ??

I would take out the MS and give it a good clean before spending any money. Check the hoses as well.

Hi all, Align 1204 head parellel with platen. Is this difficult to do ? I read a couple other threads about doing this. They mentioned something like unscrew "head retaining screws" or something like that. Can u guys teach me how to do this ? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your replies. I noticed something strange. When I go to maintenance mode and do endurance -> Pump -> x 50 times, the wiper moves in and out perfectly, no grinding, all smooth and completes the cycle well. But right after, when I do a head clean the grinding gear sound comes...

I opened up again just now, still don't see the "black gears" behind there. Anybody has any idea why the "grinding noise" during cleaning . . and then sometimes it stucks giving this 082err error ? thanks.

Hi, Sorry guys I revived this old thread. I, too cleaned up the wiper area recently after getting e082err. Worked after that for a while but recently I start hearing this "grinding sound or something" during cleaning. Please kindly tell me where these black gear area is as I don't remember...

Turned on the 1204 and did a head clean and straight away encountered this error - E082err wiper sns - beeped non stop. turned the thing off. Looked at the wiper, it got half way through it's track and stuck there. re-shaped it and clean it a little, turned on the machine and everything...

Thank you Wyne and Sean. From my understanding of your replies, so the [INKEND] message actually works when ink runs out on a cartridge. But . . there is a tendency that whatever triggers the system to display this message may not work all the time. Thanks and have a nice weekend guys !!

So when will the message [inkend] display ? I find it confusing. In the manual it says when [INKNEAREND] get ready the cartridge. When [INKEND], put the new cartridge in. But, when [NEAREND] MSG is displayed, most times the INK STATUS in the menu shows 0% already.

Hi, When vj-1204 displays the [(Y)INKNEAREND] and setup menu under "ink status" for Y is 0%. My printer still be able to print (even Yellow) without me changing the Y cartridge. I don't print much these 2 weeks but whenever I do little jobs, it's still saying [YINKNEAREND] and Y=0% under ink...

Yeah agreed !! tried 100, 150d and 200 ppi it's quite ok at 150ppi but problem is from that kind of short viewing distance (small living room) makes the print look bad. I decided to feedback this and try to get them to submit a higher res file. Thanks everyone for your advice.
