I just found out that the problem seems to be coming from Photoshop. The file i am sending was created with Photoshop and built as a CMYK file. The only way it comes out from VW looking anywhere near correct is when i convert it to RGB. I just tried creating a new file with a CMYK color...
From what I can tell, these machines seem like they have been thought out well...I'm excited to hear more on them as they work their way in to some shops.
When your talking about the print life, your talking un-laminated correct? We pretty much laminate everything, so I'm not sure there...
Make sure you can really trust these customers bringing quotes....
I run in to a customer ended up in a bidding war with over a truck wrap...Turns out, he was talking other sign shops in to fabricating estimates...Telling other shops they needed a fake estimate written up for "insurance work"...
Yeah...I didn't realize how new these were...There isn't alot of info out there from end users like you say...I'm not sure if they are even shipping the S50, or S70's yet. But a dealer in town here (near Minneapolis) has an S30 on the floor that they claim is an excellent machine. So i will be...
Going back and fourth between the three S models...I'm wondering a bit about the difference in operating costs...I called Epson and their sales guy new less than i did...Any idea how much different the S50 would be from the S70 in printing costs...The S70 using 8 colors vs 4. But the S50 uses 8...
Personally, I would like to see proof from some these guys saying that it never pops out...I've seen "premium" wrap vinyls fail on much simpler curves than this, and yes even when everything was done correctly. (proper dry time, proper prep, and no stretching.) In almost 10 years of being in...
That's some great info...Thanks Matt. The rip issues...Would they be able to be resolved by just running a different rip?? 720x720 at 3 times the speed...I like the sound of that.:rock-n-roll:
We are looking in to something new for our shop...The most important thing i am looking to do is speed up our printing. Right now we are running the Sp540v. I am able to print at about 144sqft/hr. now (360x720) with good results, but looking get faster with better results. What are anyone's...
are you removing the media to lam? or is it doing this in a hybrid job? One thing i found out is that when you go back to cut, make sure NOT to poll the media width again...If you do this, it will throw off the cut...Not sure if that helps you or not.
I'm liking how the HP sounds...But whats the deal with banner material...As far as banner material goes, all i really run is 13oz type banner...Is it true there are heat and curl issues running this material with the HP?
