  1. Fine print

But they might be doing those as waterslide decals. You use waterslide release paper, print with a desktop inkjet, cut to shape, then spray on a lacquer stuff to make it into a waterslide decal.
  2. Fine print

Our printer can do that. We've done several RC cars, boats and planes. We use an Epson S70670. You have to make sure your profiles don't overink.
  3. Print laminate cut SMALL graphics?

Are people so lame nowadays that they think everything has to be printed or that it's the only way to letter vehicles?
  4. I am so SICK of this problem!!! (lettering not sticking to painted walls)

It really comes down to people painting their houses and businesses on the inside with paint that claims to clean more easily, "crayon wipes right off," "markers clean off easily," and so on. They do that by making the paint nonstick. And it is indeed nonstick. The only way around it if they...
  5. Particular Graphic Eats Vinyl While Cutting

Slowing down the plotter will help a lot. But if the decal is just all black silhouettes and you do a lot of it, you'd do even better to have the company buy a roll of black vinyl (intermediate would have same or better life than what you're using, high performance would have double the life)...
  6. Washed out colors with illuminated lightboxes

You need to understand the physics of what happens when you look at a sign. If the sign is viewed by reflected light, i.e. sunlight, the light passes through the ink twice, since the ink is transparent. It goes through the ink on the way to the white substrate, and then again after it bounces...
  7. So this is looking bad... s80600 has been turned off for a week :(

On an Epson the heaters and the rest of the printer are separate plugs.
  8. Looking for these fonts.

Fairy tales is Killigraphy that's been stretched
  9. s80600 owners, leave your machine on or off when not using?

The high rpm fans can stay on if you don't remove the vinyl the way the machine wants, when it wants. You can usually get them to slow down by closing the vinyl clamp, then reopening it.
  10. font for the declaration of independence

The engrosser of the Declaration was probably Timothy Matlock, an assistant to Charles Thomson, secretary to the Congress. On August 2nd John Hancock, the President of the Congress, signed the engrossed copy with a bold signature. Of course, the broadside of the declaration was printed, but...
  11. Corel Font issues

I don't have any trouble, but I don't do fonts that way. I install them on every computer that uses them.
  12. font for the declaration of independence

    Not a font. Handwritten.
  13. Need Help onyx12 is there a way to use 4 colors only while ripping ?

I have been profiling in Onyx for 16 years. Perhaps the printers I have used have not offered a print mode that doesn't use Lc and Lm and Lk when ripping CMYK. But there has never been an option to not use the light versions of CMYK available. If it's really avilable but not in an apparent...
  14. Epson S40 new user

Are you talking about the vinyl clamping lever? If so, you should release it any time you're not using it. And yes, it will do self maintenance whether the vinyl is clamped or not.
  15. Need Help onyx12 is there a way to use 4 colors only while ripping ?

In Onyx 12 when you build a profile using only CMYK, it still uses the Lc and Lm.
  16. Need Help onyx12 is there a way to use 4 colors only while ripping ?

No. There is not. If you had a printer with other colors like orange or red you can create a Quickset with those colors not included. But there is no option for not using the Lc and Lm.
  17. Constant or use based humidification

I use a portable humidifier (not a vaporizer) that has its own automatic control. During the season when the heat is on a lot and humidity is low, we run it all day. When I leave at night I fill it up; typically it runs out by morning. I refill it when I come in and by the time I finish reading...
  18. Advice please ( New Zealand)

    49. Odd number to choose. On further reflection, 125 dpi converts to 49 dpcm
  19. Sign Install...

Not so sure I'd depend on that. I remember driving by a big landscape stone provider one winter day and seeing a guy from a competitor's shop up on a lift installing vinyl lettering on the existing sign in 35 degree weather. The day before had been warm, over 60. But that night a cold front was...
