I thought the problem might be bigger than that because its only the yellow that clogs. the other nozzles never clog. thanks peeps!

Thanks for your responses. All steps suggested above have been done before posting. Im sorry for not being clear about what I have dont up to this point. After nozzle washing and cleaning it eventually clears. But the head should not be clogging this often (every 2 weeks or so). Thanks guys!

JV3-160sp. when i print red, i can see a little bit of yellow to the left of the image. just a tid bit of a yellow shadow. i aligned the heads but it still shows up. can anybody tell me what this is about? you can only notice it when looking at it from about a foot away. but it still...

yes on any material. but not everytime i print. i think it has something to do with the heat. if the printer has stopped for a while it will show up. if there is a short pause between jobs it will not show.

lately ive been noticing the roller tracks showing in the ink? do i have the heat to high? it goes away after about a foot or so. weird.

I use megaink right now. was wondering what ink has given you guys best results with a mimaki jv3 160.

yeah. the color probs reside with flexi. if i print directly from the production manager i dont have this problem. if you dont get a "just right" profile flexi runs home to momma when it comes to color gamut.

anyone here have problems achieving a good bright red? mine is close, but is has no luster. its as if i have a tad of cyan mixed, but i dont. all black is remived. not sure if its my profile or how i have it mixed (last change is 100% Y / 97% magenta). the more i raise the magenta the more...

Im printing a grip of decals. and about every 300-500 inches into the job, it starts to run 2 passes. starts off at 4 passes and switches to 2 without me doing anything. and its not at the same spot in the job either. dont understand why this would happen.

i printed a large sign on vinyl. 5x9. i have limitations here for lamination so i had to splice into 2 halfs. but one half was a quarter inch longer than the other half. this happens all the time so i have to create the art with that in mind to splice thru where there is only solid color...

i print out to a large format printer (mimaki jv3-160) banners and vinyl. i know flexi is tailored to large format. but i can use illustrator with the production manager (RIP) that came with flexi.

I have flexi 7 and illustrator cs3. i usually create my sign art in illustrator and output using flexi. i was wondering why i even need flexi when i can do much more creatively in illustrator. flexi is terribly more expensive than illustrator. so whats you guys' opinions? not sure what...

just click add a job or drag the file. click on your print list, then drag.

Thanks peeps. ill just bring stuff directly into the production manager from now on. thats is until i can find a good rip thats works with mac version of illustrator.

another weird thing. if instead of importing ai files (i create in illustrator) to flexi, i can import directly to production manager and print . the colors are perfect.

ive thought about the pantone chart thing. and im using profiles that are set up my the guy that used to work here. i dont know how to make my own profiles.

my rend intents are: rel colormetric for bitmap and gradient. spot color for the rest. my monitor is calibrated. also forgot to mention. when i pring out jpgs for bmps the color is just fine. only when im printing vector art is the color messing up.
