  1. Open-Type fonts

I haven't read all of the posts to see if this was answered, but I'll put my $0.02. You should be able to convert the fonts you want with the program "Crossfont" or Fontlab's TransType-Pro". If the OTF font has the ttf icon then you can convert them to ttf, but if the icon is the OTF icon...

Do you have Signlab? Where did you get the clipart? Do you have another vector program? If you have signlab and you don't like working with it then open it in signlab and try "copying and pasting" from one program to another. If you don't have signlab and you have another vector, then...

To help with the error, first you have to turn the main computer on first. (some times it could take the other computers a minute to scan the main shared folder before you can move anything.) The file you want to share has to be in a shared folder, weather you place it in your shared...
  7. Usage/Installation of Fonts...

I found Bitstream very dangerous. What happens if you accedently select all the installed fonts and drag them out of the list. All the system fonts get uninstalled. "All I'm gettin' is a bunch of boxes" ouch. If you own Bitstream, you may want to backup your windows font folder.
  8. Typograph vs. Extensis Suitcase- Fred?

A good font converter to use is crossfont http://www.asy.com/scrcf.htm There is also FontLabs TransType pro. http://www.fontlab.com/FontConverters/TransType/ But you shouldn't convert them to TTF you should convert them to OTF (ps flavor) Postscript fonts use the Bézier curve, which is...

Have you ever thought of doing Arts and Crafts festivals. Doing this, you can carve what you like and when ever you want. Then just sell it all in one place. Though, you may need to keep your day job for a little while, in order to have a steady cash flow.
  17. Photoshop

I agree with Fred when he says Flexi is the best for vectors. As for the pixel issue, they fixed it to some degree in Flexi8, they give you the option to smooth the lines and edges with anti-aliasing. If you want to see what flexi can do, check this video out...
  18. PSCS2 Jaggies...

I think you are just converting to a shape or adding a mask to the text. Try right clicking on the text layer and click on rasterize type. then use the wand to select. Normally I make a duplicate of the text layer before rasterizing, in case a change needs to be made later.
