We don't run the Silk, but I've ran Suede, Mystical (kinda like Silk iirc), Pique, and probably one or two I'm forgetting. I run them all from the Suede profile, with a little tweaking. Usually just a 12 pass, 120 ink density works for me. You can get rolls with the bad plasticizer effect...

Are you using the take up reel before you start the print? That might help keep the material down flat on the platen, albeit at the expense of some material.

Hmm, well I tried that yesterday and it would seem my print still came out about 1/4'' short on a 76'' print. Do you turn the power off in the back, as well? I just held the power button until it shut off, then just turned it back on. I'm not sure if that actually does a full restart, however.
