  1. Latex 360 color consistency is not there

So, I've read this thread several times, and fortunately I had yet to experience this issue on my Latex 330. But today.... :( Flexi was doing weird things, like printing odd previously saved versions of files. So I uninstalled the previous version, re-installed Flexi 12, and updated the...
  2. Latex 330 and Flexi 12 printing previously saved versions of files?!

Nope. The files are saved overwriting the old, not saved as a new file. There is no other directory; there is no other file.
  3. Latex 330 and Flexi 12 printing previously saved versions of files?!

I'm not opening pdf files; I always use .tif. I'm not doing anything different than I've done for years. Like I said, the oddest part is that the file size is always correct, yet it prints a previously saved version (which *shouldn't* be the correct size, but it is). So far renaming has...
  4. Latex 330 and Flexi 12 printing previously saved versions of files?!

So I just started running some 70/30 perf. Same issue. Files were sent to me in .pdf format with bleed (that I don't need). I cropped the files, made color corrections, saved as .tif, yet when I go to print the crop marks are still there. Again, the size of the image IS correct (images had...
  5. Latex 330 and Flexi 12 printing previously saved versions of files?!

I should say: HP Latex 330 running firmware NEXUS_01_10_01.2 FlexiPrint HP Basic 12
  6. Latex 330 and Flexi 12 printing previously saved versions of files?!

Okay, so this is a *really* odd glitch I keep getting, and I have never experienced this before. I've been doing a run of gallery-wrapped canvases with 2'' mirrored edges. So my actual print size is 4'' larger than the original image. This will be important later. I put the images into Flexi...
  7. Printer Profile for Latex 360 for Dreamscape Silk

We don't run the Silk, but I've ran Suede, Mystical (kinda like Silk iirc), Pique, and probably one or two I'm forgetting. I run them all from the Suede profile, with a little tweaking. Usually just a 12 pass, 120 ink density works for me. You can get rolls with the bad plasticizer effect...
  8. Buffalo Soldiers driving me crazy

Tracing stuff with the pen tool is a pain, but it's not impossible.
  9. Mesh Banner Recommendations for Latex 360

Are you using the take up reel before you start the print? That might help keep the material down flat on the platen, albeit at the expense of some material.
  10. HP Latex 330 printed size too small?

Hmm, well I tried that yesterday and it would seem my print still came out about 1/4'' short on a 76'' print. Do you turn the power off in the back, as well? I just held the power button until it shut off, then just turned it back on. I'm not sure if that actually does a full restart, however.
  11. HP Latex 330 printed size too small?

I was thinking of doing that, but like I said, the images aren't all too small, just later on down the roll. So if I'm tiling say, 4 or 5 of these guys, I'd have to enlarge each one by a constantly changing amount, then make sure to tile them in the correct order according to how much I enlarged...
  12. HP Latex 330 printed size too small?

So, I got all the canvases stretched. The most any of them were off was by 1/2'' on the length. I'm still not sure what the issue would be. I didn't get a skew warning, and my skew acceptance is as tight as it usually is. The only thing that makes any sense to me would be the skew, since the...
  13. HP Latex 330 printed size too small?

Hello all, So I've been running a Latex 330 for over a year now, and today something new has occurred. I'm printing on canvas, with a 20 pass profile I have used basically since I've had the printer. However, my prints are coming out a little bit small in all dimensions. As I understand it...
  14. LexJet Simple Grip Window material and bubbles

Word, thanks for the reassurance. I've done a lot of 70/30 perf and vinyl window graphics, not so much with these fancy static adhesion plastic films. They look damn good, though, no denying that.
  15. LexJet Simple Grip Window material and bubbles

Okay, so now I've ordered a bottle of Rapid Tac, our rep is saying it will help with the evaporation of the water underneath. Will update.
  16. LexJet Simple Grip Window material and bubbles

Does anyone have any experience with installing LexJet's Simple Grip? It's a polyester window film, looks great, but we put up some graphics last Thursday and there are still lots of bubbles under the graphic. We used LOTS of water/soap mixture because it was EXTREMELY windy on our install day...
  17. Jobs done this weekend on my Latex 360

Looks good! I have family from Binger (also Ft. Cobb and Carnegie), nice little town. My great aunt went to prom with Johnny Bench! I miss Caddo County sometimes. Sometimes.....
  18. sore hands from filing

I agree with ya, Bob *for the most part.* Sometimes the blade in the panel saw leaves some really bad burrs if someone pushes the feed rate too quick. If the blade moves quickly through the material, it will eat it up, and those burrs just about have to removed by filing. I've tried using a flat...
  19. sore hands from filing

We use Alupanel all the time, cut with a panel saw. I usually file the burred edges, because I can be obsessive over details and hand filing gives me great control over beveling the edge (yes, I hand bevel each edge.). Can't say I've ever done 80 panels in one go, but I do know that some...
  20. Load Reverse Wound banner on HP L260

Yes, the HP's will auto-detect the direction of the roll when going through the loading operation. Where in Oklahoma are you, akuarela?
