  1. Hexis, Avery, or 3M?

Avery Supercast has been the best for us. We like 3M too but Avery is quicker to install for us and looks identical to 3M when applied. Our opinion, it is a toss up but then figure in about $150+ savings = Avery Supercast. And yes we have been using Avery for a while now with no complaints...
  2. Think Twice About Using Signwarehouse!!!

I think the OP deserves to state his experience. Sounds like some of you who have had a great experience think we all should have the same type. Who cares if it is his first post or last, it was informative and could possibly help the next individual out who is buying supplies. About 1 year...
  3. any photoshop gurus out there?

when you say the image is pixelated up close, do you mean zoomed in? If so, that could be normal since you are limited to a raster image. If you are above 150% zoom in illy images from photoshop will naturally look pixelated unlike the art you created in illy which can be enlarged to your...
  4. Video of a wrap we did.

    great video, thanks for sharing!
  5. 4over.com?

I agree with all the above. Anything over 5 ft wide we print with 4 over. The print is great, they weld the hem perfectly and package the product in nice thick tubes. They blind ship which is nice too.
  6. Logo Thoughts

Just a thought, you may want to get rid of the circle around the "&". Instead put a thick white outline around it. Possibly rotate the "&" about 15 degrees to the left. Then work on the font for "signs", it is not a good choice. Maybe a script font.
  7. Problem wrapping IS300 Bumper with Oracal 970RA Matte Black

wraps- I will post pic tomorrow Gypsy- sounds reasonable, like I stated above I will show you mine tomorrow.
  8. Problem wrapping IS300 Bumper with Oracal 970RA Matte Black

I am in the middle of wrapping an IS300 (my own car) and this is the 2nd time I have wrapped it. The first time I wrapped the car with Avery Supercast Vinyl which was a breeze when it came to the bumper, however, I am now wrapping the car with Oracal 970RA Matte Black and no matter what...
  9. GS6000 Regular Cleaning Frequency

Yes the Epson GS drops a crap ton of ink every six hours. We had a tech come out and change the cleaning cycle to a lighter cycle and it saved a ton of ink and the printer is yet to get clogged. You may want to change the type of cleaning cycle.
  10. What material should I use for racing stripes?

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions looks like I will be going with cast. Auto-FX- I looked at the 3M magenta and it is a bit too dark, maybe I should print the pink color. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  11. What material should I use for racing stripes?

I have a customer who would like bubble gum pink racing stripes installed on her truck. If I install 3m IJ35 calendared vinyl with cast lam will it perform ok? Does anyone have suggestions for alternative material? Thanks.
  12. Epson GS6000

After getting the Epson up and running I would have to say their are great things about it and a few small issues. The greatest thing about the Epson is the quality of print, hands down it is simply amazing and puts our Roland to shame. The verdict is still out on how long the inks will last...
  13. Supplier/Distributor Frustration

I think Grimco is hit and miss depending on what office you are purchasing from. I purchased my GS6000 through Grimco in SoCal and it was the worst experience I could have imagined. It took over 3 weeks to get up and going because Grimco's staff did not know how to install the RIP software. I...
  14. Cheeep banner material

Denco Sales offers their Aspire brand 13 oz outdoor banner material at $.13 a sqft. I use it all the time for customers and I would say it is comparable to Key Banners 13oz. I am sure you can go to their website and find out who the local rep is in your area.
  15. Do you leave your printer on 24/7?

I have never owned a Mutoh but I am pretty sure you should leave the printer on 24/7 so that the heads don't get clogged. I have owned a Roland and an Epson Solvent printer which both have to be left on around the clock.
  16. Anyone having this problem-GS6000

Another lost day for me. We worked on getting the printer up and running all day and no progress has been made. Our biggest problem is the RIP and computer is not recognizing the printer. Do any of you use the ethernet connection? If so how are you able to find the correct IP address? I...
  17. Anyone having this problem-GS6000

We just had our GS6000 installed yesterday (purchased from Grimco). I wish I had a great experience like most of you have had. The gentlemen installing it did not know that I needed a 32 bit operating system so we spent 4 hours trying to figure out that I was running 64 bit Windows 7 and...
  18. Seal 62 Ultra not going into forward or reverse

I have the exact same problem. We just bought a used Seal Laminator 62 Pro S and cannot figure out how why it will not go into forward or reverse??? I don't think ours has broken E stops on top because the machine behaves differently when they are pressed then when they are not. Our machine...
  19. Wrapping Lexus IS300

Thanks for the heads up. I probably will just leave them on then.
  20. Wrapping Lexus IS300

I am wrapping an IS300 and need some advice on how to remove the door handles and side molding. Does anyone have any experience with this car and know how to remove some of the hardware? I may just leave it on if it is too difficult but I would think the door handles should be fairly easy to...
