All I use is the little cutter that came with mine that has the razor blade in it. I put velcro on it and it stays stuck to the machine on the rail that the head rides on. Never have to look for it.

Got a new color chart in the mail for my DC4 and it has three new ribbons listed and examples of each. They added metalic silver and gold and a prizmatic ribbon that looks pretty cool. I may order the metalic silver, I think it will be a good addition to the colors I keep. Now if they would just...
Anything with a motor is what I like to fool with. Got a dragster, a Harley and trying to learn to fly remote control helicopters. At 52 that is the hardest thing I have tried so far to do on my own. Any one need a 7 second dragster need to raise money for helicopter parts.

A strong stiff table is the secret to good results. From what I have seen with mine the bolt together tables with poor guide rails are not going to give you the results folks say they will. I am with Techman the big cost is what is bolted to the frame and what runs it. 4X4 is as small as you...
I have cut about ten sets of N numbers for a guy that sells helicopters and the only two sets that have cut that were close to the same were for two R-22's he sold. All the others were sized to the heli.

I have been heavily into rc for years. I race boats and now learning to fly heli's. The heli thing has been pretty tough for a old guy to get but making progress.

The controls cost the same for 24X36 as they do for 50X100. I did one last year and was able to do all the fabrication and assembly myself and spent $7900 to do a 50X100 router. The cost of the motors, drives and control boards are going to be the same. Cost of the steel, linier motion slides...
I have had mine almost 4 years and have done well with it. It does a great job for what it is good at. It is a good companion printer to an inkjet. I do a lot of smaller contour cut decals and the spot colors are a great way to offer something the inkjets can't do. I don't do big prints on mine...
I print a lot of smaller decals on mine and have found that 35 lpi and double dot also works. You will get it worked out. Keep good notes and you will find settings that work good for somethings and crappy for others.

I use the vetric softwre and it works real well for lithopanes. They have sample files you can down load and cut. You can also down load the trial and try out the software with the photo you want done. It will allow you to do everything but export the cut files. If you like what you see then you...
One thing you also need to think about is what is going to be cut out of the square foot of vinyl. If it is 10 inch tall letters it will go real quick and you are set. If they want a sheet of 3/8 inch tall letters it is going to take much longer. So I use a method of square foot price for the...
I know of a complete closed down print shop in PA with alot of the equipment still there from presses to cutters. I'll ask if they still have the big cutter if you are interested.

Looking for some scrap HDU to use for a RC boat project I am working on to try and cut a plug for some small parts using my router. Need some pieces 8"X8"X2" but will take anything I can get. Willing to buy them and pay the shippping. Will take as much of the small stuff as I can get to do these...
38 point stock is no where close to 3/8" it's .038 thick. I have also been getting more request for posters so I am also interested in what you guys think. I have been looking at the HP Z series and they look nice but how are they holding up?

When you installed everything that came with your DC4 you installed the color palets. If you draw a box, and select the fill color from the docker you will get a choice of the palet to use. If you select the cmyk palet you will have all the cmyk colors there. If you lelect the summa palet then...
I would do it with LED's. I would use something like these http://www.sloanled.com/ChanneLED5.html and make a mounting strip from wood to get them angled towards the sign. Now you just need to figure out how to get power to the sign.
