  1. Font ID Please

Thank you. From what I just read this is a gerber font and not available in a ttf file for use in other programs?
  2. Font ID Please

A customer needs more text to match what they are already using but do not know the font type. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. Replacement FC8000 Cutting Strips

In the package the ones I am getting look just like this. I am buying them from a graphtec dealer as well. Can you confirm these are the harder type that came on the machine when it was new? Here is a picture so you can see the texture of these cutting strips and what happens when they wear out.
  4. Replacement FC8000 Cutting Strips

Hey guys. I have been struggling this past year with my graphtec eating up cutting strips. I went a year with the factory one before it had gotten cracked and gave me poor cutting results. The one that came on the machine was hard black plastic and worked great. The "OEM replacements" I have...
  5. Can someone save an x5 file to an x4?

I have an x5 file but only use x4. I'm wondering if someone can convert it for me. Thanks.
  6. Mutoh running short on magenta ink?

Has anyone else heard this? My dealer informed me that they are having a hard time getting the magenta pigment so he ordered me two, one liter bags instead of one to get me through the shortage. On a second note. Does anyone else run through the magenta ink faster ten everything else? I use...
  7. Just got a major upgrade, Royal Sovereign RSC-1400C

Just got my new laminator installed last week. I was working with a 27" coda that I had picked up at an auction for $125. It did fine for small jobs but when I got orders that called for 25+ yards of material to be laminated it sure took some time. What was taking me 4-5 hours is done in 20-30...
  8. Oracal210 and window pirf

Oracal has a cast optically clear. I've used that for the perf installs I have done and haven't had a problem yet.
  9. Mutoh software

Check Mutoh's website for a local tech that can come and check the machine. I don't know what you paid but the bill for the tech and any parts you need could exceed the purchase price of a used machine like that, depending on the time and parts needed. My JR was a PITA as well and got traded in...
  10. contour cutting window perf

My fc8000 won't pick up the marks on the perf or with some other materials. I take scrap white vinyl and lay it over the marks and redraw them with a sharpie.
  11. Cold Laminator

No I didn't get the weeder. I really didn't think it would be as useful to me as the sheeter. I wish I would have bought the 30" one instead of the smaller. I have run 100 yards in a day compared to doing it the old fashioned way, it's a huge time saver.
  12. Cold Laminator

Get a 30" sheeter http://www.weedersheeter.com/productinfo/index.htm One of the best things I have bought.
  13. Cold Laminator

    How wide?
  14. Vinyl Cutter for High Volume Stencil Production

I agree with techman. It all depends on how much you're paying now to outsource them. What you might want to do first is to send the designs to someone with the cutter you're looking at and see how long it takes you to weed them out. Get 25 or so and see the time it takes to do that many then...
  15. Wrinkles and bubbles in application tape???

Bob, Maybe you should actually see how the SHEETER works. There is no power, there is no drive belts, it's already attached to the side of a table and there is 0 chance you could beat anyone one compared to your method. The hand painting was just a comparison, use any that you would like that...
  16. Wrinkles and bubbles in application tape???

Bob, Why doesn't everyone hand paint graphics still? Because we have technology to do it faster and more efficiently. If you could cut your time to apply app tape to 1/4 of what it takes not, why wouldn't you? I feel so good about how well this thing works I should be selling it. The people...
  17. Do stickers need to be laminated?

Depends. Most of that type of print I don't laminate. The main reason being is to keep the cost down for the customer. Price seems to be the more important factor with promo goods.
  18. Metallic over laminate?

The fellers catalog has a sample picture.
  19. Metallic over laminate?

I bought a roll of Mactac cast laminate that has a metallic look to it. I don't do vehicle wraps but for my applications I think it looks good. From what I recall it's more expensive than the normal cast laminate that I use so you'll need to mark it up accordingly.
  20. Camo print makes you invisible

That is very cool. Those pictures are so good you'd swear they are fake.
