  1. Wrinkles and bubbles in application tape???

For the money, the sheeter has probably been one of the best investments I have made. I do tons of vinyl that needs to be taped and it just about paid for itself on the first few big jobs (100+ yards of tape). I've pulled through sheets of vinyl that were 22' long in about 20 seconds. Unless you...
  2. Chrome Vinyl for Vehicles?

FDC has some 5 year chrome. The price from my local supplier was about $140-150 for a 24" x 10 yard roll.
  3. Wrinkles and bubbles in application tape???

The problem may be with not getting the vinyl flat on the table. I have this problem if I don't tape the corners down on the large prints. In hind sight I wish I would have got the 30" sheeter for applying transfer tape instead of the 26". That thing blows the BS out of the water for putting on...
  4. Reviews on the Mutoh 1324?

I have just over a year on my 1324. Aside from a few small things I'm very happy with this printer. The print quality is great, the speed is pretty good and it's easy for me to clean. The media loading can be a PITA. On a few rolls I have had to hack off some of the tube to get it to fit. On...
  5. California Truck Registration Dot number size?

I'm not sure about cali but US DOT is 2" and able to read at 50'. I just had to do some today and the DOT site I found listed both as being required.
  6. Fire Truck Lettering

Thanks for the help guys. I was able to find the font tex gyre bonum bold that looks just about spot on besides the funny E's and F.
  7. Fire Truck Lettering

I didn't take the pictures, I had just received them from the fire cheif. So I didn't get to inspect it myself. I would guess, given the age of the truck, that it would be vinyl graphics and not painted. Anything close to this font would be good for their new one. The last fire truck I had to do...

  14. Canvas Frames?

I ordered in a bunch from a friend who gets wholesale from Darice. They were so cheap I couldn't imagine taking the time to make my own.
  15. Printable upholstery material?

Just called them direct. They no longer have the pro-patch material but they do have an 18 mil reverse print that is used in the same application.
  16. Printable upholstery material?

Yes. I found it from a link off of the convex website. I wasn't sure if they made it or not, I just remember thinking that it was pretty cool. I'll have to do some digging to see if I can find it anywhere.
  17. What vinyl to use?

Jason just because the material is thick doesn't make it last longer. The thinnest material I have right now is the best rated stuff I have. If you want thick, add a laminate.
  18. Printable upholstery material?

A few years ago when I was looking into getting a large format printer I looked up all sorts of things to print on. One was a vinyl material that could be used in upholstery for ATV or snowmobile seats or for bar stools. I don't know if I would have a huge market for this, but I wanted to check...
