it reminded me of the days, not long after adobe bought photoshop from aldus. (installation media was (2) 1.44 floppies)
we bought STREAMLINE from adobe. it was a godsend to have it, even though every file started out looking like what garrett shows in the video
i realize that.
HOWEVER, i have seen the situation he describes. i am not experienced enough to be sure if it is primarily a bug that rears it's ugly head in vectric or a problem with one of the other sofwares used to export to dxf. i thought it was worth passing on.

point was, when you convert a plt file (which may have only a dozen or so nodes) to dxf, the dxf may have THOUSANDS OF NODES.
obviously dxf is not the ideal vehicle to import your artwork, rendering times are absurdly...

Good to know. I have never used one of the Ferber adapters. All 3 of my edge’s & my gerber plotters are networked. Windows 11 driver signing has been a PITA though
From my experience, Microsoft goes way out of their way to make this difficult

a friend always told me nothing big ever got approved between thanksgiving & new years, he said there was no one in the office to sign off on the big stuff.
i always found just the opposite money to be used up before year end.
we have the same problem. foam core is fragile. the client always seems to send an idiot to pick up, who isn't capable of transporting carefully.
we don't do that many & i am actually glad we don't do more
