  1. Anyone got one?

I sold dozens of 60 and 80" UV liquid laminators back in my Neschen days. They are very easy to operate and because they are UV curable liquids, the cleanup is not much at all. There is an operation in California making the units now and they came up with the very smart move of adding a heat...
  2. 3m 40c what lam

If your graphic is primarily on a flat surface, I've got a 5 or 7 year polymeric calendared vinyl laminate. 5 year 54"x150' is $260.00 and the 7 year film is $301.74. Coated in Toronto for us by Drytac. If you aren't really using the 40C as a removable, our 7 year grey/perm adhesive on...
  3. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

Stacy - Next time you need some, try Spot ON. Much less expensive. I'm on vacation but it is well under $400/roll for a 54"x164'. You'll put a ton of money back in your pocket.
  4. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

Try Spot On Clear....a drunk monkey can put it up without bubbles or wrinkles and it will remove cleanly after a few months. We sell this product to national retailers like cell phone companies, Tim Horton's, McDonalds etc.
  5. HELP! We are DEAD in the water! 5500 Seal Laminator Down for count

I know these units pretty well. Feel free to call me. I've still got relationships with two technicians who know that unit VERY well and if that doesn't work, I've got a customer in Chicago who has a PRISTINE 5500 with zero cuts or blemishes on the roller....almost looks brand new.
  6. Label material recommendation - must be able to write on and remove

The Retac is very removable....like put it on a painted drywall and it will remove years later without hurting the wall removable.
  7. Label material recommendation - must be able to write on and remove

Do you have a laminator? You could make it with paper and a perm/removable mounting adhesive. That same retac adhesive I referenced below is also available as a mounting adhesive.
  8. Label material recommendation - must be able to write on and remove

Not a lot of adhesive-backed papers out there, but you could easily run with Retac Smooth 75 which is a very removable 3.2mil white PVC. Not everything will write on it but most things will. I can send you some pricing if you'd like.
  9. What's your preference for window perf?

I've got a warehouse full of Continental Panorama One perf which has performed fine with the other latex shops I have out there...and we are 30 minutes from your shop. Great pricing, too. 54"x164' rolls are under $400....most other suppliers are charging that much for only 100 feet.

  12. Suggestions Small roll to roll UV printer

in terms of roll-to-roll I believe you are going to be starting around 30". I could be wrong. Roland has the LG and MG models which are available (print+cut) at 30". https://www.rolanddga.com/products/printers/truevis-lg-mg-series-uv-printer-cutter We sell these at a fairly regular clip (in...
  13. Question removable vinyl

There are a lot of options.... Drytac Retac is a range of 6mil films (some smooth, most have textures). Great removability without harming a wall or other surfaces Our FreshWater Films Removable Matte is just a monomeric matte vinyl with gray removable adhesive. People use it for decals and...
  14. Question Need Help with Silvering in Lamination Process

I sell the machines, I don't run them. I could help facilitate a test, though, if you want to send me some films I'll run them and send them back.
  15. One Way Vision (Laminated)

I'm no installer....I sell the films...but I'm pretty sure you cannot wet apply laminated perf as you'll just trap all the moisture in the holes and never achieve clarity. We rarely suggest laminating perf unless it is a vehicle application but even then it is largely a waste.
  16. New Roll To Roll Printer - Is there finally a "Good in all areas" printer yet?

The Colorado checks the most boxes if you have the volume for the Colorado's price tag. I sell the Colorado and also the Roland line of printers. The speed is outstanding. The color consistency and scratch resistance is awesome. I've got several 'wrap shops' with the Colorado and once they...
  17. Question Need Help with Silvering in Lamination Process

So let me get this straight - you are laminating white cast vinyl with no ink on it and then printing on top of the lamination? Is the silvering universally found all over the print or is it primarily in the middle of the print? If it is mostly in the middle, the operator has too much downward...
  18. One Way Vision (Laminated)

did you try to wet-apply the perf?
  19. High Tack Vinyl issue

I've got a killer high-tack and high coat-weight adhesive vinyl made for me by Drytac. It has double the amount of adhesive coating than a standard film and the adhesive sticks like grim death to just about anything. I've got users who put this on powder-coated metals and (knock-on-wood) no...
