  1. Fuji Acuity 2545 opinion

I actually went and looked at it and had a test print made. The machine is well kept and clean, they definitely took care of it. They're still using it today and runs pretty sweet. Nozzle test looked good with exception of the white ink which has a couple lines . If I was interested, I would...
  2. Graphtec slipping

It's only 3 years old though, and I don't use it every day. Shouldn't have pinch roller problems, but you never know. Thanks.
  3. Graphtec slipping

I always try to make sure my pinch rollers are clean and have the full pressure on them. I have a full set of 5 rollers on, I can try to use only 4 and see what happens.
  4. Graphtec slipping

I have an 8600-130. Recently, when I make a cut decal, it will cut perfectly all the interior cuts no problem, but when it gets to the final outer cut (aprox 12" X 15" rectangle), it will skew and miscut one or two sides of the rectangle. Oddly enough, if I have a set of the same decals, maybe...
  5. Fuji Acuity 2545 opinion

I'd be running coroplast, dibond, aluminum and acrylic sheets mainly, no thicker than 1/4". Printing rigid materials only, this one doesn't have the roll option added. The headaches I was talking about are just based on folks having trouble with UV inks clogging the heads all the time, always...
  6. Fuji Acuity 2545 opinion

Nudge nudge, anyone else have any feedback on my querry? I'm trying to get quick feedback, as this is a time sensitive purchase. Thanks!
  7. Fuji Acuity 2545 opinion

I'm looking for everyone's opinion. I have an opportunity to purchase a Fujifilm Acuity 2545 flatbed for a fraction of the cost. It's about 4-5 years old. Being an HP latex user, I'd prefer the new HP flatbed, but my pockets aren't that deep. But a Fuji came available and it's a pretty sweet...
  8. Grimco garage sale

In case anyone is interested, Grimco is having a 75% off garage sale right now. Not my vendor of choice, but you might find some good bargains there. https://www.grimco.com/Info/Clearance
  9. Interior Wall Mural material

I'm leaning towards GF 226 or Orajet 3268. They're both 6 mil, and I feel more comfortable working with 6 mil rather than 3 mil. Seems folks are happy with the GF, does anyone have a personal opinion about Orajet?
  10. Cut vinyl prices peeling after 1 month

I have a feeling that the sign sat around onsite for 2 weeks, then they finally installed it and peeled the transfer tape off then. I also have a feeling that they went back with a high pressure sprayer and tried to clean it up before grand opening. Then after a couple days of hot hot sun...
  11. Cut vinyl prices peeling after 1 month

Wow, lots of folks hate Avery here. Good to know, I'll steer clear of it in the future. Some of you said that it looks like it was pressure washed. That would be my guess as well, since it's at a carwash and the install crew probably wanted to clean up the sign. I'm sure it loosened the...
  12. Major Issues with HP Latex 310

Oh girl, I'm sorry you've had all those issues. I bought a 310 in September 2015, and it's been running pretty smoothly since then (looking for wood to knock on). I'm a low-run in-house print shop so it doesn't get a whole lot of use..only 17,750 ml of ink used so far. I agree with other, HP...
  13. Cut vinyl prices peeling after 1 month

Thanks everyone for your help :)
  14. Cut vinyl prices peeling after 1 month

Surface was cleaned with alcohol and dried before applying, I did that myself before it went out of the shop. It's possible it got too warm sitting around on site before they installed the sign.
  15. Cut vinyl prices peeling after 1 month

Its Avery Dennison calendared HP700 opaque series
  16. Cut vinyl prices peeling after 1 month

Does anyone know why this would have happened? (see attached pic) The cut vinyl prices are peeling off only after 1 month. According to customer, the transfer tape stayed over the prices for 2 weeks once they received it until they pulled it off right before grand opening. The sign is a 2nd...
  17. Interior Wall Mural material

Thanks, but I'm going for cheap. Also, I've never done a wet install that large..That's a bit intimidating and beyond my comfort zone. Thanks for the idea tho.
  18. Interior Wall Mural material

oh, so you're the one who bought up all the optima optisolve.....grrrr... lol. I tried to jump on all the old advantage materials the week the announcement went out, but Grimco told me they didn't have any more supply left..I think they lied. I think the automark and the phototex are a bit too...
  19. Interior Wall Mural material

I wanted to get opinions on what the best material to use for an interior wall mural. This is just for our own business location, we're not selling or installing these for our customers, so I can do some trial and error here.... I have a 30' wide X 10' tall wall that I want to get a printed...
  20. Flexi is eating my hard drive

Hehe, funny. I still have all the original design files from 20 years back, so I think I'm safe only saving RIP files for the past 2 years. I can always re-rip.
