I might be missing something here...
How many jobs are you sending at one time? I think most of us only send 4' - 8' sections of jobs at a time. It's also easier to work with smaller sheets that need to be weeded, etc. than 40' long sections.
For example, this job was like 50 or something...I...
You can always measure how much you have left. If you have just enough left but not enough to go through the system then just tape another partial roll to the end of your roll. I do that when I forgot to order material or I'm slow and have time to screw around.
I can't argue that we have some excellent teachers in our district. For the most part, so much focus over the last 10 years has been put on diversity, equity, inclusion, etc. that our test scores have dropped significantly. When I moved here in 2008 it was one of the top districts. Now, it's...
Agree...and kids don't learn cursive anymore so that's something that will be gone. My oldest son has a decent signature but my youngest looks like a kindergartner and he's 20! I must've skipped that part during parenting LOL
I think a lot of people are self taught because the computer programs are so easily accessible and easy to learn. It drives me nuts when I see bad kerning. Here and there I've been in a hurry and I'm like...OMG what the hell did I just print!!
I'm not too concerned yet but I don't have multiple employees.
I do think work will pick up and when it does it's going to be big...so use this time to get ready, at least that's what I'm telling myself LOL
I suppose in a way it is, yes! My kids are graduated, both my boys moved to the larger town. My best friend is moving there and all my family lives there. My BF and I broke up after 7 years about a year ago - there's nothing left for me here except my business. I grew up in the larger town and...
Perhaps an email to the better customers then follow-up with a FB post a day later for everyone else! I have a few customers that I will call or tell in person as we have become friends over the years.
I'm going to be happy to get rid of the tire kickers!
I just hired a guy to refinish my wood...
Those are great answers! I'm probably thinking too much into it - I'm not running an ER, it's just signs. Many of my customers I've never even met and have never been to my shop, so they would not be the wiser.
For the first time in my life, I'm really "winging it". I sold my house but I don't...
I've had my building for sale and I close today. I am renting until July 5. I'm moving my primary residence 30 minutes away to a 50k town. Right now I'm in a 6k town.
I've decided to rent an office/shop in the town I will live in which is the 50k town. I know I'm going to lose most of my...
Out of curiosity, how often do you see kangaroos in the wild? If you go for a walk on trail or camp do you see them and do they attack? Do you need Kangaroo spray like we have bear spray? Are they like deer here where they roam your backyard and eat your plants but leave you alone?
This is what I order. I use magnets if I can and resuse some of the tape as I go LOL

If you have Quick books you can accept ACH payments. I always pay that way to one of my vendors to avoid fees for both of us. Just open another account up like Texas has.
The best part of this exchange was when he said if he offered anyone who's complaining a house, rent free, tax free in an MS13 neighborhood, nobody would take him up on his offer. But, they have no problem sticking these people in our neighborhoods.
