Did y'all see what some "designer" did to poor Pope Francis' Tomb??

I paid good money for you to read this!
There's no significance to the spacing; it is just his name in Latin. For thousands of years people will have a glimpse into the dark ages of computer kerning (I hope that's what it was!!)

I see more and more of bad kerning every day. Aren't they teaching this stuff anymore? Also I'm noticing typo errors in printed media - legal documents, books, websites, etc. What ever happened to the old saying "cross your T's and dot your I's". The details matter. The scary part is when doctors overlook things, like which organ to remove:eek:. :)

My mother-in-law brought it to my attention, I didn't know it wasn't one word the first time I saw it. Then when she told me what it was suppose to say (FRA NCISC VS) I about lost my mind laughing!

I think a lot of people are self taught because the computer programs are so easily accessible and easy to learn. It drives me nuts when I see bad kerning. Here and there I've been in a hurry and I'm like...OMG what the hell did I just print!!

Is this real? I mean...why didn't they just kern it right away instead of going through the trouble to make a note?

I cannot help but think we are moving more into an era portrayed in the movie "Idiocracy"

Agree...and kids don't learn cursive anymore so that's something that will be gone. My oldest son has a decent signature but my youngest looks like a kindergartner and he's 20! I must've skipped that part during parenting LOL

They don't tend to learn anything anymore, other than the political views of the teachers and especially profs.

I disagree with this, having multiple teacher's in my family, they steer away from politics with students. I had no professors in college try to influence me politically, they were just teaching their subject of specialty. Only those classes dealing with political science or philosophy would deal with any political views, and in those cases that is what you were signing up for.
