You should also look at the entry level Arizona printers. They have a tool called a tilt-and-go which allows the machine to be tilted and pushed through a door. While this goes against what I just said about having the machine inked up and run before it ships, Canon has such a huge US presence...
Isn't the Xante US office in Alabama or Mississippi? I wonder if it wasn't how quickly they would have been there. That's a genuine question...no intentional attitude.
I'd be very cautious.....I've sold at least 5 flatbeds replacing units like these....Asian made units....not much in terms of domestic support. Customers have just thrown their hands up in the air (and their money out the window) after trying to get adequate support after years of trying...
While Im not as hands-on experienced as you guys, I've sold hundreds of Roland's, thousands of laminators, and countless miles of laminate. I've never actually seen a print fail because it wasn't given 24 hours to cure. I have customers who laminate immediately every time with no problems...
My technician is excellent and you are welcome to call him about your Fluid Color machine. You can email me and I'll respond with his number. I agree with "GC Decor" in that most of the time if a print head is bad, it is consistently bad and doesn't improve for a few days and then go back to...
where in PA are you located? your sensor eyes are out. not too difficult of a fix....if you call Seal support they should be able to get you parts and a tech
yes the heads are more expensive but they are dramatically more consistent and they may for years. most of my customers are well past 1M sf before any heads die of natural causes. By consistent color I mean that the red you printed 6 months ago and the one you print today pretty much match...
it prints a great black in gloss mode.... and if you use the most recent profile for more difficult media like cast you should get a great black in matte mode. they published a new profile a few weeks ago and several of my customers are thrilled
we would have to try it out. I'm not worried about heat from curing at all...I'm more concerned about the way the material makes a bend onto the print platen for printing. If it is really rigid, then unlikely. I've successfully printed on some thick CS1 and CS2 card stocks around that same...
not yet as the first units aren't shipping till the end of April. There are units in Chicago to see right away and I have an opening on Wednesday the 19th in the afternoon if you want to see it then
The machine is OUTSTANDING. Here is a marketing hype video: Everything is an option...you can start with a slow machine which only prints in glossy mode and then upgrade all the way up to the fastest speeds, Flex Finish, and white. It will allow people to enter at a lower price point and...
We sell a ton of product for this application and what you are doing (print mirror-image on clear and laminate a white/white SAV) is inexpensive and easy. We also sell a printable white opaque which would allow you to print double-sided with no image showing through (it is a 6mil white opaque...
Continental Grafix has great perf with a really great release liner at an incredible price point....most people can get a 164' roll of Panorama One perf for the same price as the 100' Briteline. But the release liner is really stable and doesn't tend to give latex people too much difficulty...
It really hurts when you are a Roland distributor and have printers in stock....we already paid for them and now nobody wants to buy them due to the promotion, so we have to sit on the inventory until the promotion is over. On the bright side it is driving some new business, but from a cash...
