Depends on your opinion of entry level. The cheap China machines that are built on epson engines will have you replacing heads frequently. The properly made machines running higher end epson heads, or Ricoh heads will last longer. Quality of the ink is another conversation.

I would probably avoid this printer for Braille. It’s a very slow machine for clear and you have to multilayer to get the “texture” you’ll be seeking.

That’s why I had to flush my magenta the other day. Also had to do a head replacement for chunky white. Just a couple months into the second year. Probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to put filters between the ink tanks and solenoids on your own accord.

Contact them directly. I’ve never had issues with their shipping prices being in Ohio. If you have a UPS account with better rates than they offer, I’m sure they’ll let you send a label. Shipping prices are subjective, especially when being calculated on an online store.

Cleaning carts in the white/clear. I’ve had a dead head in my white/clear slot for years. I do believe the board needs something in there, but you for sure don’t need them to work or have ink flowing.

I’ve used both STS & JetBest 170 compatible. Both are no flush from OEM. If you don’t like the one, swap an OEM in, and try the next one when that bottles over. I experienced no print differences with either.

Huh? STS & JetBest are both available and easy to find in the US on first page of google. Both work great.
