  1. 2" Green 3M Masking Tape 401+

Last thing I ever would have thought of using is anything labeled "duct tape"... Looked up the specs, and it looks like some pretty sweet stuff. Learned something new today :thumb:
  2. 2" Green 3M Masking Tape 401+

I use the blue painters tape, but if that's what your installers prefer, unless they're using it for everything else like I do, why cheap out.
  3. Kawaski Mule wrap - sticker overlay on wrap material?

He said he's an installer, I assume he'd know that, but good point in case he doesn't. :thumb: We do stripe kits for Mules, and we usually flame treat first when we do the installs, especially on new ones.
  4. Kawaski Mule wrap - sticker overlay on wrap material?

On some things it's more beneficial to add logos after you wrap, I do it all the time. Plus if the base is just a solid color it gives you the option to just use colored wrap vinyl if it's available in the color you need, and not have to print/ laminate everything. Saves time, money, and even if...
  5. Bronze plaques or.......

Depending on cost, you could use a granite, stone, or concrete slab face, or even erect a monument style with decorative blocks, and use basic cut flat aluminum letters. It would last and be pretty theft/ vandalism proof.
  6. Credit Card Stolen Number, how did it happen?

Had one of mine attempted to be used in Azerbaijan a few years ago... Never knew this little country existed until then. CC company denied it and locked down my account immediately because it was in another country. Someone in Ohio attempted to use my wife's debit card in Ohio not long after...
  7. Credit Card Stolen Number, how did it happen?

Skimmers, security breaches at businesses you deal with on-line. The worst is when large retailers, corporations, credit card companies and banks get compromised, hundreds of account numbers can be affected in a split second, pretty much all they have on file if it's not caught immediately. It's...
  8. Seeking your expert knowledge

UltraFlex UltraMesh is a two sided for just that application, but... It's only available in 126" & 196" for grand format printers. Sub them out to a company that prints them, go hang em' & collect a check.
  9. Roll stopped rotating, printed in same spot. Now not printing at all

Bottom one looks to me like it's blown... Make sure it's unplugged for a while before you replace it, or when working on anything electrical, especially on a Roland. Power supply capacitors hold power for a while, and all the electronics are sensitive to voltage spikes. Use the same rated fuse...
  10. Rainbow Month support?

What I really don't understand is why people drink beer when there is so much good bourbon available... Not complaining either because it leaves more for me. I seem to have a one track mind today, must be Friday :toasting:
  11. Rainbow Month support?

That in a nutshell is what gets people accepted, and makes most of the problems go away. Make waves, throw things in peoples faces, and no one likes you, regardless of what you are, who you are, or identify as... I don't understand these lifestyle, and I don't really need to, just act normal...
  12. Air Quality By You

As a drummer from that era, I think used enough Aqua Net to be personally responsible for that hole in the sky. We'd buy it by the case... :rock-n-roll:
  13. Air Quality By You

North central WI has had air quality alerts just about daily, it's been hazy, but not too bad. Been getting like a real fine dusty grey (like ash) coating the grass and cars the past couple days, not sure if it's related, but it's different than the normal dust & pollen we usually have. Wonder...
  14. Small shop getting into wraps?

It's a lot to take on, but if you have no one else in your area it could be worth diving into. I'd highly recommend getting certified, the knowledge is worth the price tag. I'm 3M certified, we do a lot of partial wraps, spot graphics, but not many full wraps. Too many others undercutting...
  15. Roland vp540 repair

Let me know if you need the service manual, I have a LOT of them covering most of the older 540 Roland models at home... Think I have that one too.
  16. Service call

OP's profile says San Bernardino, so he'd need a tech in Cali.
  17. Rasterlink

Length is what the feed compensation adjusts. It only takes a few minutes to run the test print and adjust.
  18. Discussion What specific systems or strategies does your company employ to enhance productivity?

For inventory, some shops do enough of one thing, be it decals, banners, road signs, or whatever, using the same materials where you can do inventory planning. Most sign shops are basically job shops. Jobs and materials vary to the point where other than a few of the most used materials, it's...
  19. Problems in RasterLink 6 with PDF's

If you're getting artifacts, flatten and save PDF at size/ resolution before loading it into Rasterlink. If it still doesn't print correct save and send as an EPS. I print more EPS files than PDF, it handles gradients and effects better in Rasterlink, and stays editable, no extra flattened files...
  20. Rasterlink

Is it in the feed direction? Run the feed compensation in the setup menu, it'll print a test pattern, change the values till it's correct. Instructions are in the user manual under Media Correction.
