  1. Need Help Square sign installation between round posts?

+1 to this We have done a number of these. You need a metal frame sandwiched in for support, otherwise the HDU will bow.
  2. Laminating Acrylic Sheets

Gemini offers some laminated material options. I just noticed you are in the UK, maybe there is a comparable source there?
  3. Painting black on polycarbonate

Talk to Gregory Inc in Kansas. They can probably cut 5ft wide black vinyl for you, so you can avoid the seam.
  4. Boulevard pole banner hardware

    Thanks Moze - that's it!
  5. G-Mail Alternative

Email is the lifeblood of my business. I will gladly pay $12 a month for flawless Gmail service. As for additional email addresses, you can get "aliases" with Gmail for free, but truly separate email boxes will cost you additional seats.
  6. Boulevard pole banner hardware

What is the best (most durable) pole banner hardware? I can't remember the brand, but years ago we used to buy higher priced ones from Fellers. I believe they were spring loaded. Now they only sell Metalcraft and a house brand.
  7. Do you laminate your plain vinyl lettering?

I had a customer a few years back that requested we laminate solid color translucent vinyl for an elaborate lighted sign. He claimed the vinyl faded too quickly on the original lettering (in particular the Burgundy color). I believe I had found a 3M document to back up that laminating would...
  8. Anyone have a Matthews mixing station?

Who is your vendor? Satin black and white conventional (not low VOC) have been almost non-existent for 4 months. BTW - kudos to this guy for hooking me up with the touch up paint - thank you again!

  12. What happened to PDAA?

Looking to get wrap training for a couple people here. We've have not had much formal training. In the past, PDAA has seemed appealing since they are not manufacturer-specific. It seems they are now part of Printing United Alliance. I can't find much information on the training /...

  14. Interior halo lit sign battery powered LEDs?

  15. BEWARE of South Water Signs

I read the reviews. Ay caramba. We're downstate from them, so they have contacted us a handful of times. Last job 4 years ago took 9 months to get paid for simple $100 window logo install. I see things haven't changed. :)
  16. Gemini Lead times

Their lead time is not as good as it was pre-Covid, but it seems to be much better lately than it was a few months ago. They have always been crazy slow on quotes, though, I don’t understand that.
  17. Multicam

The technician said it would require wiring work that would be really difficult, and expensive.
  18. Multicam

We got one a little over a year ago. We upgraded our 15 year old 1000 series unit. Agree with JBurton - tool changer is very nice. It plows through an incredible amount of work. One regret (I'm mad at the salesperson for not bringing it up) was not getting the option to auto set the height...
  19. One man shop growing pains

This is spot on. It is really important to charge appropriately for smaller jobs, they can drain you quickly. Get a minimum order amount in your head and stay firm to it. Years ago, I did lots of small orders and was crazy busy….and not making very much money. Once you peel off a handful of...
