if this is the entire job, one piece of vinyl that small then cost of vinyl doesn't even come into play for the final cost of the job. this would fall into a minimum price you have to maintain your level of satisfaction on how much your time is worth.

yes, some of them use thinner aluminum, but it is usually noted somewhere on the site or catalog. also could be that some had a container full they are selling before they were hit with tariffs and some bought after the tariffs...

had this happen in my l25500, plastic piece in back of the cartridge holder broke, probably from inserting carts a bit too hard. this threw off the sensor, i rigged it back together with a piece of steel shaped in a large C, glued and taped it in place and it lasted till i ditched the printer...
