I had this one. Actually, my 3m rep recommend the sherwin-williams proclassic but he could not tell me why. Someone else recommended a sealer like gardz made by zinsser.
We do tons of murals and vinyls on painted drywall. I normally use the 3M paint test when I do my survey, but some customers are asking me for the detailed paint requirement. The only informations I've got from vinyl manufacturers is a ''contractor paint'' and avoid any ''easy cleaning'' agent...
I've had similar results when I've made a paint test at one customer. Did you ever had a situation similar than mine and you had to redo a job and the paint came off?
We've done over 30k square feet of installs in the past two years with this material with only maybe 20 of them with problems. We also do alot more vinyl murals without any problem (except with phototex). So vinyl + painted drywall is not an usual problem for us. Also, laminate the material on...
I've done some surveys with customers, family and friend about products that were shipped. We ended up with just a 4inX4in decal with our logo / website and a small smiley face + thank you note made with a sharpie on the box. The feedback has been very good. Most said with the decals, they know...
I don't think print with my L26500 would work great on a laminate. But I will ask my distributor if it work.
Thanks for the suggestion of the 8150. I'll ask for a sample to try it out. For the LG, I don't have access to this brand here. Do you have other options?
So we installed a dry erase film on a painted drywall for a customer. We make 10 ''board'' like this. As usual, we have tested the paint before the installation and everything is good. The paint have been done for over 60 days now. After few weeks, there is large bubbles that appear. The...
So I've used the general formulation optically clear vinyl for windows lately. I've installed it wet but after few days, the clear/no ink part was not 100% clear. It's like if the glue was fuzzing the view.
So I'm looking for recommendations for real 100% optically clear material that will be...
I don't agree with you. Frosted vinyl will ''kink'' and you can't heat it to get it back. The material is also thinner and more complex to manipulate. But after few installs, you get the hand of it.
In your case, it's because you are using the wrong transfer tape. You need a high tac. Personally, I use 3M scps-53x for 3M dusted/frosted vinyls (all the fasara catalog). It work great, but you need to wet the hell of it when you peel it of after the install. It is also harder to apply due to...
I've heard a rumor that the next generation of the HP latex printer will have white ink. It's the only reason why I'm waiting to change my printer. But the mimaki if the first contender for now.
So I've done all the electrical test, clean up the connectors and you know what? It was just that the connectors and printhead was not perfectly aligned. I've put my finger on top of the connector strip when installing the printhead and the printer was able to read the printhead. (I hope I'm...
I have a problem with my black/yellow prinhead no 3. So I've switched the no3 and no4 because sometime it correct the problem. But now, no matter what I do, the printer don't ''see'' the printhead no4. Even if I switch them back or use an old printhead. I've clean the connector with the tool and...
So my HP L26500 ask me to change my yellow ink cartridge because it was ''faulty''. I've tried to remove it and put it back and it did not work. I've put another cartridge and everything is fine. I still have 134ml in the ''faulty'' ink cartridge. Is there something I can do or I just cut my...
