Don't be afraid of straight up asking "If you don't mind me asking, is there a reason you went with someone else for this project?".
I've experienced what your feeling and it does suck. There are times where they simply didn't know you could do that type of work, or when someone else in the...
What size is that thing? Material combo definitely isn't intended for that application. I'd say if it worked before, you guys got lucky.
What a about a banner, no hems or grommets and just run a strip of 3M tape around the perimeter and tack it down.
Another vote for too much tension on the laminator.
Also, I found that 210/215 shrinks and pulls back like crazy so we stopped using it years ago. We use Arlon 3220 gloss instead and haven't had any issues whatsoever.
Saw way too many failures and signs with shrinkage when we use to use 210...
That's frustrating! Anyone nearby that could just run these for you? I'd offer to make them for you but shipping from Canada to Idaho probably wouldn't be ideal, eh.
You could probably get a sample roll/yard of 3M IJ180 metallic silver faster than 30 days, and might be enough to get the job...
Personally I would've blurred out the letters before sharing those pictures..........I bet you would have had a lot more useful feedback. Those letters are just horrible!
Sorry I can't help with the structural parts, but please make sure they don't get their hands on the new letters.
Do you have a laminator? That's how we mount our vinyl most of the time.
If not, I'd soak the crap out of it with rapid tac and squeegee it down. Use light pressure with a felt squeegee then come back full force with a straight (fresh) teflon squeegee or similar.
I've with 220 silver for a...
I know it's not what you're asking, but we use General Formulations GF 201HTAP for all our exterior signs. It has worked extremely well for us and it's our go to for a lot of applications.
Probably about a third of the cost of 3M IJ180cv3 (which is what we use for all vehicle graphics).
Yeah you don't want much more than than on windows, otherwise it makes things more difficult. Maybe they did the ol' "all the the windows will be the same" trick and the gaskets weren't consistent.
Is this a company that you hired to install for you, or they hired you to print only? If...
This is very true.
One thing that hasn't been addressed beyond assets/liabilities and volume is how well the company is running. Do they have systems in place? Are employees cross-trained?
Our numbers/size are very similar to the company the OP is evaluating. I'm really curious what that...
Might be worth a shot to submit a request here..... https://adendo.com/onsite-training/
I don't see anyone listed with Gerber experience but it can't hurt to try.
I know it's been a real challenge getting our old Gerber plotters serviced - have had to crate them up and ship them half way...
Thank you - I've re-created a new profile using Epson workflow and it's much faster and seems much better.
Also just came across the Gamut Report portion which did confirm my first created profile was awful - new one is significantly better.
Will share my findings tomorrow.
Does it make...
