People love the latex machines, as someone who runs them to death and over capacity I hate them mostly. Prints not coming out the correct size is a constant issue that can be fixed, but takes up time, when the your have the last two rolls of media needed to to a wall wrap job and not a single...
At least upgrading is working for you, every time I upgrade I just find new issues and I am seriously considering rolling back to 18 until 25 comes out (I have 18, 22.5, and 24).
There used to be a color offset and sign shop right next to the DART tracks as you head South into downtown and emerge from the tunnel, it was wrapped up real nice, so I took a job with them. I don't remember their name. I still use DART when I go back to visit, it is a little more sketchy than...
They fell off pretty hard in Denver too. I never know when my orders are going to arrive any more which has led to me thinking I forgot to order and I wind ordering the same thing twice.
I cleared the work folder trying to get the "ghost" jobs from the que so I am unable to answer that - this is with 22.5. The issue with the back file not generating or showing
(until I change the setup to print to file, then I set it back to the ip settings and am able to print it) with 24.
The one I speak to doesn't listen and talks over me. I have only once had an issue resolved with phone support and that was about 5 years ago. When he sent his summary email he said my issue was with 22.5 when the call originated from an issue with 24, but to be fair both are having issues and I...
I have recently started having issues with double sided jobs in Onyx. First Jobs would remain in the queue after being complete and I have not been able to get them to delete out and they remain even after I cleared my work folders. Now Onyx has quit displaying the active job that is not on...
I have 5 blades on my slitter set up and it has been awesome at reducing the time to cut a part a roll of prints. I have not tried turning the blades around to cut the lam before it is applied yet, but will in the future.
Yes, Denver. They have the accounts I used to produce for when I worked for Miesel in Dallas decades ago. Contact Mark the owner and he will get you what you need. Tell him Rob from AFDub says hi. mark@hookfishmfg.com
He has been in the sublimation game before the JV3 days.
I use This company Hook Fish for my sublimation needs, they have done a great job on table covers and 10 x10 tents for me as well as smaller items specific to my company.
If you have the cash for it, buying branded note pads and dropping them off at local business when you introduce yourself is a great win for people like me. You give me something I can use and you brand is on every page reminding me about you until I need to place an order.
I use the e stop on my Kala often and then forget when I start it up again. Usually when I have problems with this slitters or can't hit the stop button from the back of it. I need to buy the remote for it.
This reminds ms of interviewing with a company run by a guy who smelled too much paint in the early years and bought a Summa because his employees couldn't learn how to perf cut on a Graphtec. I later learned he grew weed also, but the paint had fucked his brain and his employees didn't know...
If you work on your media profiles in Onyx there is a length compensation part to it, I have not had the time to recal all of my medias but they regularly come up shot or too long but, I am able to make it work if it isn't a wall mural. I have heard of people talking about the first panel being...
