  3. Getting the old JV3 up and running....

Well I have spent the best part of this weekend trying to get the old JV3-160S running again. I have just managed to get 3 good heads into the machine, one I have just bought and the other two I had which had been flushed and stored away. I decided to install the two previous heads alongside...

  7. In search of new heat press

We are using a very very old Xpres (UK) machine which must be 30 years old. We have had four new machines of various makes and supposedly quality and none of them come up to the build quality of this old monster. It takes two people to lift this thing!!! The only thing is I think spare parts are...
  8. Mimaki jv33 trouble - 911

The air lock could be a faulty or empty damper. Does the yellow dampers have similair amount of ink as all the other colours? if not pull ink through the damper till it is about half full. I didn't think you could physically empty a JV33 of a colour due to it having sub tanks (I could be wrong) SC

  15. Training a New Employee

We currently have a young person that has been handed to us by a training company. He seem to have what I can only describe as the "right stuff" so we will be taking him on. The issue is the training company wish us to take them on as an apprentice after his trial period. This will entail us...
  16. Is an old JV3 still a useable machine in a modern sign shop

We have an old JV3-160SP which I bought a few years ago very cheaply. It had been offline for quiet some time but over the last year or so I have replaced the caps, pumps, dampers and have now managed to get 3 completley perfect heads for it. Also I have a bulk ink system which will make this...
  17. Banding issue on VJ1624

This could be a whole list of different causes. But I had a similar issue and as you say and the pf wheel was the cause. The wheel had distorted and was touching the encoder sensor. When moving the loaded material forward in the machine with the buttons listen very carefully for a slight thud or...
