If you are on the fence, don't fall behind too far on versions. At first Adobe was penalizing you for upgrading from very old versions until they changed the policy due to backlash. I think they will allow you to upgrade from cs3 or 4 for a reasonable cost but that is also for a limited time...
I cannot send out artwork that belongs to a customer. It is not free to distribute clipart. It could be an original. If I start sharing all of my work with everyone I would upset many of my customers
My previous post was basically trying to say this... raising a kid is much harder than it used to be. You can monitor their computers, but they can still find and watch anything they want on their phones, ipads and ipods.
Society is allowing violence to be more acceptable. I grew up with Atari...
Kids are stupid... heck people are stupid. They post letters, photos, videos of themselves on Facebook and Youtube. People rob or beat someone up and post it online. They drive 120 on a freeway and post it. They take pics of themselves naked and send it to their boyfriend/girlfriend. Some assume...
I don't have a problem with the fact he shot up the laptop. Maybe if he had taken her out to the yard and invited half her friends to witness it and do the same thing, or throw it in the river. The problem I have is that he posted it for the world to see. This is a private matter that shouldn't...
Maybe he did not intend for the video to become viral. If she has major issues, she probably won't post it on Facebook but she will probably find other ways to rebel. Some kids won't cower, she may see this in another way. 200+ kids saw her post, maybe 2 million will see his video.
+1 on inappropriate. If you have a difficult child/teenager this is not the correct way to handle it. Hopefully he is taking care of it in other ways as this won't get to the root of the problem. We don't know the whole story about the family
Seriously? My calculations show that a 4' x 10" piece at 300dpi would be a 1.5gb file. Do you really work with such large files? That does seem too high for a vehicle wrap
Yeah that was the intention of the video to show how with proper node placement and dragging out of the control handles you can have much smoother curves
Someone PM'd me about the other trace videos. If you are a new member and have not seen them, here are 2 more links to other videos. Also large downloads

I just uploaded another video. No sound or commentary. Nothing terribly difficult. Keeping nice smooth curves requires proper placement and control of nodes. Anyone can draw curves but keeping everything smooth can be tricky. I think Illustrator's node controls are quite good once you undertand...
It is a fact that the person behind the keyboard/mouse is the difference. Just look at youtube videos and there are artists who can create a masterpiece with MS Paint.
I believe the Corel Master at Signs101 is without a doubt Joe Diaz
All Adobe files? I did not think corel could open newer ones. Will x5 open cs 5 files? I always thought it was a few steps behind in import
The big issue with opening AI files in corel is that some effects may get lost in the transition.
Better to have both if you can afford it
