I just realised OP had listed Mimaki, Mutoh & Rolland for UV flatbed printers. I would go Mimaki. The other 2 are hybrids and aren't great. Unless OP is talking about those little desktop ones? Id still go mimaki.

There's a setting to turn it on or off. What does the underside of the carriage look like (where the print heads are)? Is it clean after printing on the acrylic or is it got a film of ink? We get fantastic results on acrylic.

To be clear, it's not the media profile. Media profile wouldn't cause any banding as you'd see. Are you running an ionizer bar? it could be static issues.
