I think they do go out of date eventually. You could reset the date by puling the battery on the main board ,it is a bit fiddly though. That will probably bring it back on line. SC

If I was changing the head I would be changing the maintenance station complete with pump. Also only use a genuine Mutoh head cable as I have heard issues with aftermarket ones. SC

+1 for laminating. I learned very early on that ALL digital prints have to be laminated for them to last over 6 months. Even though the manufacturers rsay the prints can last for 3 years + I have seen them fade within 3 months! SC

By the looks of things the head is not sealing properly against the cap. I would clean all the dried ink around the head. For starters I would replace the cap top and make sure the pump is pulling through as the drain pipes can get blocked on the cap. I have found that you have to deal with any...

It could be the head cable failing. The Maintenance Station maybe is not sealing against the head. Also how old is the head as if over 4 years old or more it will probably need replaced along with MS and head cable?. SC
