There really is a fine line with these things. What I have found is to start with as little pressure as possible that will still feed through and then after a couple feet you can up it a tiny bit, just not too much. Also adding tension to your print, whether by hand or putting it on the spindle...

I've installed vinyls calling for 10c at below 0 and not had issues though. Just depends on application I think.
We've been using Drytac SpotOn for short term coverups. Both printed and unprinted, goes on and comes off easily.
Has never affected anything underneath. But we've never used it on a vehicle.
I've done a few of these and switched to horizontal seam after the first one, I found it was quicker and easier going with horizontal panels on the sides.
Is this in the preview window in Onyx or when it's actually printed? You can't trust the previews in Onyx.
I use 40/30/30/100 for rich black, haven't noticed anything strange.
Does it look this way before it passes through the heat?
I've had similar results on some odd vinyls and ended up having to create a profile from scratch for them. You could try cleaning it with alcohol to see if the roll has some contaminants on it.

We use 480 for textured walls. I wouldn't worry much about which laminate, when applied properly, the gloss becomes quite matte. Use a lot of force and go quite slowly, there's not a huge gap between heating the film too much and not heating it enough in my experience.
