  1. Anyone had heads replaced on a S80600?

Square footage probably doesn’t mean much, your best bet would be drop count so you can actually see how much ink has went through the head
  2. Anyone seeing a slowdown due to coronavirus?

If anyone’s really struggling, I have a LOT of old rolls of release liner that could be log cut into toilet paper. Probably wouldn’t use the silicone based side though.
  3. Anyone seeing a slowdown due to coronavirus?

Countries everywhere closing down, cancelling sports events, closing schools etc on expert advice and then there’s the UK with all sports events and schools going ahead as normal as per our “expert” advice. someone’s experts are wrong and I think I’m on the wrong side of it lol
  4. Anyone seeing a slowdown due to coronavirus?

A lot of the news over here in the UK about the USA appears to be that the orange man thinks it’s just a simple flu and a lot of potential infected are being refused tests. Suppose that’s one way to make it look like your containment efforts worked, refuse to do any tests and the numbers won’t...

maybe that’s the problem, you can only see the pictures at night time
  6. Oce Arizona

We don’t have one, but we are primarily a canon machine shop (got canon presses and a Colorado). being fully honest, there are much better flat beds for a lot cheaper prices.
  7. Question A serious question..........................

Unless you live in the UK! You get billed right out of your wages! Still, if I got COVID-19 or even cancer. All the treatment I receive would be free. I fancy my odds better here lol

  10. Question 70% isopropyl alcohol

Try your ink supplier, our Ink supplier for the mimaki gives us swabs, alcohol, cleaning fluid, the works! (might be a little more expensive but should do you until people stop washing their hands again)
  11. Summa S2T140 or S2160?

As far as summas go, they appear to be tanks. I can’t imagine after you’ve bought it you’ll need a new plotter for quite some time. So it really depends if you ever plan to invest in a bigger laminator or if you do a lot of unlamimated work. personally I’d go for the 64”, for the price...
  12. Any Colorado 1650 Owners.

If you’re not convinced the 1650 was ready for market you should have a play with my 1640. had to restart my printer about 6 times today just because I decided to move a new job to the top of the queue and it then refused to print anything. Don’t get me wrong, with regards to print quality we...

  15. Suggestions UV Printer - Logojet, Roland or Mimaki

Had to be sure! Lol. With mugs We crank the pressure pretty high and cook it at 180 Celsius for 3 minutes if I remember right. you’ll probably need a UV printer that does white I guess, or printing on aluminium might look a little faded/get colour shift.
  16. Suggestions UV Printer - Logojet, Roland or Mimaki

Just to be safe here; you are buying sublimation ready items? They all need a special coating that takes the ink in. You can’t just throw any old mug in there and make it work. (Which I’m assuming is the case with the bottles, they won’t be sublimation ready). we did look at buying a small UV...
  17. Need Help Printing several copies of the same image

  18. Suggestions UV Printer - Logojet, Roland or Mimaki

Have you looked at sublimation? You might even want to start off with an A3 sublimation printer. Even something like a sawgrass sg800. Very cheap (going by your budget) but pretty simple to start making your own mugs, coasters, tumblers etc. I’m talking like £800 for a package in the uk so...
  19. Anyone seeing a slowdown due to coronavirus?

Just waiting on a million “CV patients this way ->” signs coming in lol
  20. Need Help Printing several copies of the same image

Pretty sure onyx has tutorials for stuff like this but this is the most basic you can get! Lol I’m still relatively new to onyx so I’m by no means an expert but I’ve found loads of helpful tools just rooting around the menus and playing about. personal favourite is the grommets tool. No more...
