Huh? I did not quote it or have the opportunity to do so. As I mentioned in the my first post, I would never have taken the job. If they want to take on that kind of work for $35 they are welcome to do so. As you can see it did nothing but make the other company look bad.

Maybe you have an old graphics card that does not support wide screen aspect ratios. So it is stretching a regular aspect ratio to fit your wide screen

I have dealt with designers that don't know even know what a vector is. It will be a daily struggle and you won't often succeed. Sometimes you ask for higher res art and all they do is upsample the same low res file in photoshop. Or if you ask for eps, they just embed the same low quality...

i would try ITC Century. There are many versions of Century so maybe you are looking at the wrong one

Are you talking about 5 to 5.5 upgrade? If yes then there is no major difference in Photoshop or Illustrator. Only the mobile content and Indesign were updated Most of the changes are if you have cs4 or lower

Communication is key. Some people here think that this looks fine for $35 while others say it should have been a $200+ job if they wanted it to look good. That is the big problem. If you shop on price you never know what you will get. Had I wanted/taken the job and quoted $200 the customer...

Back from vacation and found this thread. No I would not have taken on this job. As mentioned some art is not ideal for vectoring. And certainly not $35. It is not an impossible vector job but you cannot expect much for $35. I would rather turn down a job than make a promise I cannot keep. Here...

But not everyone NEEDS to upgrade every year. If you don't you are now being penalized. Does this mean they come up with updates (err bug fixes) and feature bloat more often and force everyone to pay? I can understand someone who is back on cs1 or cs2 should pay more but cs4 users? With this...
