press the windows key and search "high contrast" then it'll take you to a screen where you can turn high contrast on and off. That's probably the issue.
  5. Question How to get a better profile? Epson s80600, Onyx Thrive 19 and Xrite i1 Profiler

Linearisation is important. - you shouldn't be skipping steps. Except G7, that's absolutely useless for inkjets. Follow everything that FrankW said.
  6. Onyx 21 Sputtering with HP 360

Have you opened a bunch of files and checked task manager to see the CPU usage? x21 can utilise multi threading. the fact your cpu is only 4c /4t. I believe it’s bottle knocking. when I put x21 on my old Xeon workstation with 4c / 8t it would lock up on me every time I rip a file.

  8. What do you think are the pain points of the flatbed printer industry?

  9. Onyx 21 Sputtering with HP 360

Onyx X21 is lightyear's ahead of X11. How many print licences / rip engines do you have? How many cores does the CPU have? or what i5 is it? (i5 7600k for example?)
  10. I think i may have made the biggest mistake ever buying a new Mutoh

  13. Electric paper cutters (guillotines)

That's helpful! Ive seen that one on alibaba. probably 1k + delivery. It's either that, or there's a few second hand ones that are german, but manual backstop. Im leaning towards the manual one as it's easily serviceable.
  14. Mimaki JFX200 2513 vs Vanguard plus flatbed cutter?

you're comparing 2 entry levels and 1 production level machine... What are your requirements? A lot of inks will have certifications like greenguard gold etc. and other health and safety requirements. I know the USA are less strict vs Australia on inks though.
  15. Electric paper cutters (guillotines)

Oh yes i was looking at something similar but chinese.
  16. Thrive Layout Tool Grief...

I forgot the CPU i came from, but it was a 4c/8t. Xeon. i was bottlenecking it so badly, it would lock up on me. the 5950x is leaps and bounds over it. But.. it depends on how many RIP engines you run. As signmeup says, onyx is crap at multicore. it's somewhat better these days, but still...
  17. Electric paper cutters (guillotines)

  19. Electric paper cutters (guillotines)

Anyone here use electric paper cutters / Guillotines? To cut stacks of paper or stickers etc? Looking at options for something up to 500mm wide. Either get a cheap old second hand one. or possibly a chinese one from alibaba, i need something to get by for now.
