I have a Graphtec plotter as well. If we ever have this problem, we just cover the mark with translucent white and retrace with fine sharpie. But we rarely have this problem. We laminate with luster on reflective.
I'm putting my Fellers catolog in the round file.
On a side note, I,ve been getting calls for people wanting 2'x3' Signacades for $41 cause thats what the internet says. Never had those calls till I signed up on Signacades site.
A picture would be great. I should have mentioned that the signs are 48''x 105''. It appeared to be something applied to metal, but thicker than vinyl. The marble looks nice and is really glossy.
Thanks for the tips, incresed the exposure time and soften the wash out. I miss novastar. It was as easy as burn it, wash it out then stick it onto the screen.Really I have gotten out of screen printing but I have a few customers that really need this kind of work. I will keep trying these tips...
I was using Novastar films before with no problem. They don't make this film any more and I bought some Ulano Blue poly2 film to try. My problem is at the wash out stage. Once I start the wash out at low pressure, it takes a while to come clear. When it does start to clear, it starts to detach...
I use Onsrud 65-023 bit mostly. 1/4'' diameter at 10,000 RPM is what I use. I try not to use smaller bits unless I have to. These bits cut great and last.
The Pines of York gave us the job to reface two old brick walls. After removing the existing signs we found the old hand lettered sign underneath. After pricing a few different options, we decided to use texture plus panels. The panels used are the ledgestone and for the top cap I used the...
+1 for plasticrouting.com. I use the largest diameter bit I can with straight flutes on king color core. You can also v carve it as well. If I end up with a little rough edge I just go over it real fast with a torch and it smooths out...
Its best to read something like Gold Leaf Techniques by Raymond Leblanc. It also helps if you can find someone that doing what you want to do and get some hands on. Lots of you tube videos as well.
I used my sample this weekend. The vinyl printed fine and was easy to apply. I would use it as any other 3-5 year film as well. The price is a little better then what I'm paying for a 3 year LG product now. Free samples are always nice when they work as described.
Well my sample just arived from UPS. I never gave them a credit card number on the site but they shipped it. Came from Atlanta. I did get a phone number and a little letter in the box. I will gave it a try and update later.
I noticed the same thing. I went to order the free sample and I noticed that they want you to enter your credit card for shipping on an unsecured page. Looked strange to me as well.
