  1. HELP! 2 Graphtec plotters not cutting right OR Oracal 651 material has defects?

The paper gets wavy like it was in real humid air. We don't notice any static issues and it's only oracal cut vinyl that does it.
  2. Weeding small labels

put a cutline down the middle
  3. What laminations do you use?

Thanks, I'll have to give it a try. The one thing that annoys me with every other brand of cast laminate is the rolls are always a little wider than the material where 3M is pretty exact. Trimming off a 1/4" of overhanging laminate on a full roll so it doesn't get stuck on the plotter platen...
  4. Question Everything I've learned about perf cut/die cut stickers

You can contour cut first and perf cut second in VW on the same line or outside. It seems to work better that way but still sucks.
  5. Will you rate my long overdue baseball card design?

I saw "bottoms" on it and was expecting a picture of texassignmaker
  6. What laminations do you use?

They told me the same thing. I hope they make it in house and not rebrand GF or some other product that can be bought anywhere.
  7. HELP! 2 Graphtec plotters not cutting right OR Oracal 651 material has defects?

We get a lot of buckling with 651, could be from that. Even at 35% humidity it's a problem. We still use it but we FWIW we've never had this issue with 3M series 50 but the price went way up on it.
  8. Cutter or Router: Colex v Shop Sabre

Something to do with it vaporizing the PVC which releases the chlorine? I just read a lot but have seen this warning in multiple places. It's bad on the machine but the health concern is huge.
  9. Cutter or Router: Colex v Shop Sabre

also makes chlorine gas which will rot out your machine real quick.
  10. What laminations do you use?

I prefer 8518 for cast but am still getting the moldy looking blotches deep into the roll. Arlon 3220 is good. Have used briteline cast, seems fine too. For calendared, IMO 8508 is garbage. We used to use Oracal 215, that stuff lasts forever but it got to be expensive. If you want good...
  11. Question Everything I've learned about perf cut/die cut stickers

You get it dialed in on 1 then 20' into the roll you have to fiddle with it again. Some may do it but its not ideal IMO. Maybe a flatbed cutter but the roll machines I dunno
  12. Question Everything I've learned about perf cut/die cut stickers

Roland sucks at it. Summa S3T140 is the way to go but it's still slower than cutting by hand IMO. You're wasting time with a paper cutter.
  13. Rayas en impresión roland Rs640

Puedes explicar un Poco mas? En la prueba (foto 1), esta preguntando porque cyan y magenta esta cambiado?
  14. Best Material for Commercially Used Agriculture Equipment (Tractors, Mowers, etc...)

We use 3755/3150 substance on machines. Most factory decals are garbage material and seriously doubt any of them used cast. Never saw any with a thick laminate except polycarb on control overlays.

  16. Raises?

Lets get it back on track. I gave her $1/hr, it was what I was planning before I asked here. Who here gives performance bonuses? How do you structure that? They seem like a double edged sword for a million reasons. I have worked places where employees got really butthurt after getting a...
  17. Cutter or Router: Colex v Shop Sabre

I think you're thinking about a plasma cutter.
  18. Cutter or Router: Colex v Shop Sabre

If you're not using vinyl, what about a laser?
  19. Cutter or Router: Colex v Shop Sabre

Like the Powerball? How much money needs to be in the pot before someone bets against themselves and cuts off their own finger? The left hand doesn't count either.
  20. Cutter or Router: Colex v Shop Sabre

that just means you work too slow
