  1. Software Help Blowing Up Images in Photoshop

X2 on Topaz Gigapixel. It takes images I would have said "no way" to before, and makes them look pretty decent once blown up. Requires a decent computer, but is very cheap (free trial also!)
  2. Epson s80600 and avery 2050

Unless I specifically want a double-strike profile, I always use the regular profile on everything. Just use your regular vinyl profile.
  3. Odd question about laminates

I would bet that spraying them with clear paint would be the best bet for longevity. Like a set of new aluminum rims.
  4. Roland Sp300 Error : "Carriages are Disconnected"

Carriages do not have to actually be disconnected to receive this message. The carriage just has to read that it is at an incorrect location along the encoder strip for it to think it is disconnected. Hence, the strip needs replaced or cleaned. I believe that you can get the replacement...
  5. Roland Sp300 Error : "Carriages are Disconnected"

Clean the encoder strip again with regular alcohol. Clean the encoder eye sensor also if you can get to it. You can flip the encoder strip also if it is too far gone, but then you have to go to service mode and re-calibrate.
  6. Mimaki Print Vinyl

When we've bought our last few printers from Epson they've all came with some demo (10yd?) rolls of 3M vinyls. Look in the cores and you should be able to tell what you have.
  7. Just In Someone e-mailed me this................................

I've only been here 10 years, but they've been good ones.
  8. Asking for opinions...drop trowel & show me yours

Our installers have more issues with the CV3 trapping air in channels than 180c. 480 is real nice but a LOT more expensive so we only use it where needed. I have heard a lot of issues with removing the 175?
  9. How to keep using old machines?

Upgrade to the newer Gerber software, get the Gerber USB converter cables, and keep on running them. We run ours on Win 7 here just fine and anticipate no problems upgrading to the newest version soon.
  10. Asking for opinions...drop trowel & show me yours

What was the print that was installed? Did you print it? What Machine? What was the off-gas/dry time before you laminated it? What laminate? Are you SURE it was that laminate? We use 180c here every day and we do get defective rolls, about 5 per year, but the defects are obvious (missing...
  11. 3D Raised Decals

FWIW, these are definitely NOT 3D Printed. pretty nifty though, but no idea how they're made.
  12. Thicker decal material for edge 2

It certainly has its advantages, I would look at investing in a better laminator as your next step and then think about changing to Gerber vinyls. We have a couple Edge printers here and routinely run full rolls through our laminator.
  13. Thicker decal material for edge 2

You aren't going to get that lifespan out of un-laminated Edge prints.
  14. Just as I was ready to buy EcoSolvant here comes Latex

Get the 60600 and don't look back.Hardly any maintenance every couple weeks. Immediate printing, no wasted material. No head replacement/degradation. Lightning fast.
  15. Epson S80600

(In Onyx) After the file is ripped you can right click on it in the hold que and go to Edit > Printer Settings. In this window you can adjust passes/density and more. It takes some playing with it and some profiles allow more adjustment than others, so it might take a couple tests to see what...
  16. Bright Colors Epson s80600

We keep those decals on our work orders. The installers log the VIN of every vehicle we do on their installation sheet for that vehicle. You can't trust a "unit number" as those sometimes get reassigned as vehicles leave/enter the fleet. The VIN gets entered into our system as part of the...
  17. Bright Colors Epson s80600

We print the job label every time, using small text. We cut one of these off of every run and attach it to the job order form. Then, if we ever have to reprint a panel (damaged/wrecked vehicle) or they order another print to match we know for certain what printer/preset was used.
  18. How do you handle "forgot to tell you" mid project

In dealing with entities like this, they are used to receiving (multiple) change orders, so your price revision due to an unforeseen stipulation should be no big deal to them.
  19. White ink on Epson s80600

Depending on your RIP, there are quite a few different ways/speeds to run the white ink at. At first we only ran it on some super slow stock profile, but you can change the passes, etc in the RIP settings and it is about twice as slow as a normal print. One head can print the white and the other...
  20. White ink on Epson s80600

Epson White on IJ680CR-10 Reflective wrap.
