White is as opaque as white ink can be. Which isn't that opaque, more like a translucent white vinyl. Even white print vinyl needs a gray backer/adhesive to be a block-out vinyl. It DOES 100% knock-out reflective though, FWIW.

We do some work for similar industries, never had them do a site visit to our office, but I know it takes the guys quite a while to get through check-in every time they arrive for install jobs. Lots of tedious paperwork/trail for every little decal also, but not that bad. NDAs will probably...
NFPA 1901 covers both the sides and rear of fire apparatus. IJ680 is NOT compliant for rear chevron use, only on the apparatus sides (striping, etc). HOWEVER, many fire departments still use printed 680.
3M and Oracal both make printable reflective that meet the standards for the apparatus...
We have the silver ink option in our s70675. If you only print silver in an area it can look neat, but using it under/over colors just makes it darker to me also. I don't think it is useful at all unless you run decals that would requires spot silver. We replaced our cartridge with the cleaner...
I had a graphtec and it started cutting crazy one day similar to this; it turned out that it somehow had changed the "language" on the plotter.
I think I had to reset it to HGPL or something like that? Sorry, it's been a few years.
I am a fan of ever ongoing personal development, not just "professional development". A lot of the time is is learning a new skill that has absolutely nothing to do with business, but keeps the brain learning new things / ways to think about things.
I think you just need to attend some training from Gerber and stick with the Edge. You might also need a different printer. Some Edges print better (and more consistent) than others. We print a LOT of lexedge here and some of our printers print better than others for different materials and...
We give out the specific charts for our printers to our color conscious customers to help them select the best spot color from what our printer actually prints.
For instance we had a customer recently specify the use of Pantone 460. 460 Prints a MUCH flatter non vibrant color off of our printer...
It is a color bridge out of your specific printer. It was provided to us when we purchased a version of a RIP. It says "Simulations of PMS colors" along the top.
The fine print at the bottom states it cannot be sold or misrepresented as a genuine Pantone certified product. This was given out...
Attached is a file of Pantone color swatches. Please open this file with your graphics application, select all, and copy and paste into a new document in your software. Save the new document as your own Pantone test file. Otherwise, you will be looking at colors generated by my software.

This depends a lot on your printers and intended print materials.
If your printer prints with spot color inks then you will need a Pantone swatch book only. If your printer uses CMYK inks then you will need a Color Bridge book showing the difference (bridge) between TRUE spot color formulated...
I would just buy a few yards of 60" wrap vinyl and cut it out of that. No seams. Seaming across the top wouldn't be that bad either if you are limited to under 48"
I just want to add one small bit of info to this thread that is not mentioned yet. When we had the full solvent Mimaki JV3 printers we did spend on average 20 minutes cleaning or running test draws and checking for clogged nozzles before prints. With the most recent generation of Epson (ours are...
Color consistency. 99% of our work here is paneled large wraps/murals. I don't want to wonder what a replacement panel is going to print like when it is needed. Have a 54' truck lose a panel during install or lamination, then try to reprint that panel the same color.... and it doesn't match...
