  1. Shirts.. Tagless, private labeling?

Huh! For once, it's NOT the same old cliché! JB
  2. Installing letters isn't usually tiring...

Wow...I even remember some of those. JB
  3. Removal of wall letters..............................

How about a cable saw? It's similar to what you're proposing, only the wire has been embossed to create small teeth...like micro-fine barbed/razor wire...
  4. Need some help with the word Sequoia

I think the tree has it going on. However, if they decide to re-brand someday, it might look better coming off the "I". Either that or put a bit of a gap between the tree's trunk and the "U". JB
  5. I Just Bought Signlab As Well!

Mine arrived several weeks ago, but I just loaded it this weekend. I like the fresh new look and a few of the features have also been enhanced (so far, I've noticed improved text editing and predictable .ai file importing capabilities). After all these years, I'm glad CadLink finally...
  6. Well what to do now.

Take some time and look at the long-term. You stand at a fork in the road. And while it looks like nothing but a challenge, it may just may be the opportunity you've been looking for. Do a quick google search on the words "life plan". Essentially, it's a "where are you now?...where...
  7. Any unique Christmas gifts?

After twenty-eight years of marriage and a "fresh start" with our vows two weeks ago, we got new rings. JB
  8. Any unique Christmas gifts?

Congratulations! You're going to be blessed beyond imagination. We became first-time grandparents this past summer. Our little six-month old grandson arrived at Thanksgiving dinner with the words "Big Brother" printed on his shirt. They'll be just over twelve months apart...we're so...
  9. Any unique Christmas gifts?

An empty bottle...ha, that sucks! (Perhaps it's full, but it's hard to tell.) JB
  10. All is well, all is well...

It's been a tough year for my wife and I. Thirty years of "little hurts" and the bitterness that's been allowed to fester can sure do a world of damage. I'm thankful to say we've gained tremendous ground over the past two weeks. We still have rough waters ahead, but at least we're in the...
  11. Does Flexi have a limited amount of cut shapes it can send out at one time?

Just curious... Can't you reduce the number of items to be print/cut and then tell it to do a certain number of repeats? In my thinking, this would reduce the amount data needed to run the job. In CNC language, this is called a macro. I have to believe something like this exists for a...
  12. signlab features.

Sweet feature. I don't use Corel, but I have it. I'll have to try it out just to see how it works. It's been crazy busy around here and I haven't had time to load our new SL. JB
  13. Facebook Freedom

If that seems a bit severe, you can always deactivate your account. It doesn't allow any friend activity or annoying email notifications. And for all they know, you've disappeared into oblivion. As for the fb sabbatical, I couldn't agree more. I've been away from it for four months and...
  14. Illustrator CC 2014 EPS files cut twice!

Yep...we also do this in SignLab. JB
  15. Illustrator CC 2014 EPS files cut twice!

As mentioned above, I also believe it's a "thick line" issue. Regardless of your line stroke width, Onyx is "seeing" your line attributes as having both inside and outside characteristics. There should be a setting somewhere that will allow you to turn off thick line attributes. JB
  16. Sign Shop on CNBC's "The Profit"

All kinds of things wrong with this picture: 1) Dad was obviously an astute businessman in his day to be able to position himself to loan that kind of money. 2) Dad is obviously a poor judge of his son's character, and no amount of money will fix that kid's problems. 3) Girlfriend is...
  17. What would YOU do with the money?

I just tried opening a v9.1 SignLab file in SL v.8 and it worked...so long as you have the correct fonts (but that's a given anyway). A notice comes up stating that the file was created in newer software and that it might not load correctly, but so far it's done a perfect job. JB
  18. What would YOU do with the money?

Good question. I don't know about current versions of SignLab, but I think I remember v. 7 as being forward compatible with v.8. I had helped a friend load v.7 on his computer and I'm pretty sure I was testing it with stuff I had made in v.8. I'll have a colleague send me something made...
  19. What would YOU do with the money?

Snarky, for sure and I apologize for offending. But the play on words was irresistible.
