If you use Fusion 360 you can import almost all of their parts and hardware into your designs so you don't have to model them.

The key is taking the picture square to the drawing and moving farther away from it, as long as you can zoom in before you trace it. And then plot it on paper instead of cutting it.

Shopbot has the Handibot which is somewhat similar and they now have a subscription service where you can get a machine for a few months and return it. Also a fantastic forum with very helpful people.

Bear in mind that there is cast and calendared acrylic- very different properties.

I have bought 3 or 4 of these and they are excellent quality- try to change them every couple years in case of settling in the ink. They have 12 cart systems too...

Our first RF640 was rode hard for 3 years and still prints great as far as I know. We replaced it with the same printer simply because we cannot be down and the price is really reasonable for the amount it makes- and the old one was worth 40-50% of the new prices.

Johnny- perhaps you would like to break that down for us in flyoverland? "whimpering and screaming and crying" sounds like Trumptalk? Sometimes that should be taken with a grain of salt. Mind you, I am as happy he is gone as anyone, a bad man.
