Odd. I've been using an FC8000 for a long time with Onyx, and never had any trouble cutting from Onyx with it.

Looks like Bodoni Bold Italic, the Sign Wizard version. On regular fonts, Bodoni Black Italic is the same weight but the serifs on the m and r are a little different.

The GX-24 is a cutter, not a printer. You cannot print to it. You need cutting software. Corel Draw is not cutting software.
